* The Furst Brothers from ''ComicBook/AstroCity'': Augustus is a slender, white-haired, [[DistinguishedGentlemansPipe pipe-puffing]] OmnidisciplinaryScientist, Julius is a stocky, shaved-headed, [[CigarChomper cigar-chomping]] BoisterousBruiser.
* Franchise/{{Batman}}:
** Batman's sons [[ComicBook/Robin1993 Tim Drake]] (adopted) and [[ComicBook/RobinSonOfBatman Damian Wayne]] (biological). Tim is logical, cool-headed, and always follows Batman's example by never killing, while Damian is rash, violent, and thinks nothing of killing his enemies, until some CharacterDevelopment, where he'll still resort to it if he has to. They slug it out every time they meet.
** You could extend that to Tim Drake and ComicBook/{{Nightwing}} (Dick Grayson). Nightwing can be logical, but he's more emotional and his creation of 'Nightwing' directly extended from him rebelling against Batman. Tim and Dick act like actual brothers though, unlike Damian.

** There's Dick Grayson and [[ComicBook/RedHood Jason Todd]]. Apart from the obvious ([[CainAndAbel Dick is a hero, Jason is a villain]], or a NinetiesAntiHero on his ''good'' days), Dick is acrobatic, one of the most cheerful people in the DCU, never mind the Batfamily, and independent from Batman. Whereas Jason relies more on weaponry, is dark and wrathful, and is almost pitifully obsessed with being seen as Batman's son and true heir, if not replacing the Dark Knight himself. Both also have very different relationships with Batman: Dick is the favourite (and always has been, even when he didn't know it) and there is mutual respect between the two, while Jason is TheUnfavourite at the best of times and he and Bruce have a very rocky relationship.

* Many examples in ''ComicBook/ClanDestine''. The most prominent example is TheHedonist Jasmine [=/=] Cuckoo [=/=] Kay Cera and TheDutifulSon Walter Destine [=/=] Wallop. Then again, when their younger sister Samantha complains about their constant bickering, their father Adam attributes it to them being too ''alike''. In a flashback, we also have [[BoisterousBruiser Thaddeus]] and [[ActualPacifist Albert]], who seem to get on much better.

* This is the case of the original ComicBook/HawkAndDove. Hank (Hawk) is generally characterized as a short-tempered and fight-happy loudmouth, with Don (Dove) being the calmer, more pacifistic, and studious brother.
* Jerrica and Kimber Benton from ''ComicBook/JemAndTheHologramsIDW''. Jerrica is a bit of a ShrinkingViolet around people she's not close to while Kimber is her loud, [[DramaQueen dramatic]] [[BigLittleBrother Big Little Sister]]. By extension their [[HappilyAdopted foster sisters]] count as well. Shana is docile and fashion-savvy much like Jerrica while Aja is outgoing and tomboyish.
* The (otherwise unnamed) Two Brothers from ''ComicBook/MarvelVersusDC'' -- one was the Living Embodiment of the Franchise/{{Marvel|Universe}} Multiverse, the other was the Living Embodiment of the [[Franchise/DCUniverse DC]] Multiverse. When they became (re)aware of each other's existence, they each decided to destroy the other. [[spoiler:They made up in the end because StatusQuoIsGod.]]
* PlayedForLaughs and {{exaggerated}} in a ''[[ComicBook/MickeyMouseComicUniverse Mickey Mouse]]'' comic where the [[CardCarryingVillain Phantom Blot]] turned out to have a ridiculously good brother -- who even dressed in a white sheet (to his black) because he wanted to emulate his brother. The good brother was [[GoodIsImpotent so ridiculously naive and soft-hearted]] he didn't even realise the Blot was evil and hated him, at least not until after a lot of persuasion.
* ComicBook/{{Quicksilver}} and his twin sister ComicBook/ScarletWitch. Quicksilver is more violent and brash than her, but Scarlet Witch makes worse decisions that endanger the whole universe.
* ''ComicBook/ShangChi'': Shang-Chi's father Zheng Zu and uncle Zheng Yi, the two heads of the Five Weapons Society, were both powerful sorcerers. Zheng Yi, the younger, was portrayed as calmer, wiser and less vengeful. After his brother's death, without Zheng Yi to counsel and balance him, Zheng Zu took a darker path.

* ComicBook/SpiderGirl and her cousin/genetic half-brother [[spoiler:Darkdevil]]. She's a [[NaiveEverygirl naive]], [[WideEyedIdealist optimistic]] PluckyGirl who wears a bright costume. He's an angsty pessimistic [[TheSnarkKnight Snark Knight]] dressed in dark tones. Together they [[SiblingTeam fight crime]]! Sometimes.

* ''ComicBook/TheFantasticFour'':
** Storm siblings Johnny and Susan. He's HotBlooded and brash, she's calm and motherly. Both have incredibly destructive powers and care deeply for their family. However while Sue is fiercely loyal to her husband Reed, Johnny is a HandsomeLech who ReallyGetsAround.
** Following their footsteps are Sue's kids Franklin and Valeria, the former being a playful RealityWarper Mutant the latter a mature ChildProdigy.
* ''ComicBook/ScottPilgrimVsTheWorld'': Kyle and Ken Katayangi are a more literal example. Personality-wise, they are SingleMindedTwins, although the [[Anime/ScottPilgrimTakesOff anime adaption]] later claims that Kyle is the hothead of the two. However, visually the Katayangi twins are basically Yin-Yang themed...despite being [[InterchangableAsianCultures Japanese]]. Ken has short black hair, primarily dresses in black clothes, and sometimes dons a red jacket. Kyle has long bleached-blond hair, primarily dresses in white clothes, and sometimes dons a blue jacket. In addition their video game attacks are also yin-yang themed.

** The founders of Houses Vandham and Doyle Matthew and Na'el are practially unrecognisable as siblings. Matthew is a human with dark hair pulled back into a ponytail while Na'el is a cat girl with short white hair. Matthew's a hot headed brawler that uses a set of gauntlets to beat his opponents into submission while Na'el is a calm WhiteMage. The biggest seperation however is in terms of personality; Matthew is idealistic and always trying to look on the bright side of the CrapsackWorld that is Aionios, and seeking to do his part to help everyone. Na'el on the other hand is cynical, only caring about those within the City and perfectly content to let Aionios go to shit if it means the people she cares about are safe. This passes down and creates a schism between the houses they founded, with Vandham leading the charge against Moebius to free Aionios while Doyle seeks not to risk what the City has managed to achieve for the sake of Agnus and Keves.

* Ariel, the carefree, naive youngest sister, and Attina, the serious, mature eldest sister, in ''WesternAnimation/TheLittleMermaidIIIArielsBeginning''.

** Scott Summers aka ComicBook/{{Cyclops}} and his brother Alex Summers aka ComicBook/{{Havok}} both are very powerful, great leaders and very mentally screwed up. However Scott shoots red EyeBeams while Alex has a blue ChestBlaster, also Alex is frequently a AntiHero who while Scott at his best can keep the X-Men together as TheLeader.

* ''WebVideo/CreamHeroes'' has the calm and polite Toto who prefers to snuggle up to other cats and use charm to get what he wants out of Claire, in contrast to his louder, goofier and more aggressive brother Dodo, who prefers to punch and wrestle with other cats and is known to steal whatever food he can get into his mouth.

* ''Webcomic/{{Muted}}'': Avaline and Camille are basically sisters, and they definitely have this; Avaline's outfits are usually stylish and show off skin, while Camille dresses more conservatively. Avaline accepts the idea of an arranged marriage and tries to make the best of it, while Camille is visibly uncomfortable with the idea of getting married to a man. Camille also seems to have had this with her actual sister as well. Her sister seemed more active and outgoing while she seemed more reserved.
** Camille and her twin sister Chloe are also an example of this when the latter was still alive, with Camille being the introvert who likes reading and drawing and Chloe was more active.

** Lowee's Rom and Ram are PolarOppositeTwins, with Rom being a sweet ShrinkingViolet and Ram being a GenkiGirl brat. Their individual characters reflect Blanc's dual personality, their older sister. The twins fighting style is also very different from Blanc: [[SquishyWizard they are mages]], while Blanc fights with a [[DropTheHammer hammer]] and is a StoneWall.

* In ''VisualNovel/DanganronpaTriggerHappyHavoc'' and [[Franchise/{{Danganronpa}} the content following it]], [[spoiler:the BigBadDuumvirate who caused the apocalyptic event spanning the whole series, known as The Tragedy, to occur consists of FauxAffablyEvil GirlGirl Junko Enoshima, who is the AxCrazy BigBad, [[TomboyAndGirlyGirl and]] the AffablyEvil {{Tomboy}} Mukuro Ikusaba, who is her SycophanticServant.]]

* ''Art/MediciChapels'': The Medici brothers' contrasting but complimentary interests are reflected in their tomb {{sculptures}} by means of CharacterizingSittingPose, among other cues. Lorenzo, the more academic of the two and the Blue Oni, sits in an introspective ThinkerPose. He sports a wise man's beard and his chest is covered by his arms and crouch. On the other hand, Giuliano's artistic passion has him depicted as a handsome golden boy who proudly shows his muscular chest and stares into the distance --he's the Red Oni.

Mio dreads her homecoming, wishing she could live longer, while Glimmer is distraught that she won't have hers. Even their classes are at odds, with Mio being a dodge tank made to draw the enemies attention and Glimmer acts as the healer that should avoid attention at all costs]].

* Creator/FredAstaire and his sister Adele, who performed together as a dance team before Adele married and Fred went into movies. Although they got along very well, they were opposites in many ways. Adele was once said to have [[TheFlapper "put all the flap in flapperdom,"]] loved parties, liked to shock people and hated to rehearse. Fred was much calmer and more reserved (to the point of being shy in his later years), and he could happily spend a couple of days perfecting a few seconds of dancing. Adele's nickname for Fred was "Moaning Minnie" due to his tendency to worry about his performances; in return, he called her "Goodtime Charlie." Their relationship, including Adele's eventual marriage to an English nobleman, is loosely dramatized in ''Film/RoyalWedding.''
* [[Creator/ChristopherHitchens Christopher]] and Peter Hitchens. Granted, both are relatively high-profile journalists, but beyond similar vocations and genetics, the similarities generally end there. Christopher was a very outspoken atheist/anti-theist and held predominantly (but by no means exclusively) liberal political views. Peter is an Anglican convert from atheism and holds predominantly conservative political views. Chris was known for drinking and smoking a lot, whereas Peter can't drink much and doesn't smoke. Plus, Chris supported the Iraq War, bucking the left-wing consensus, whereas Peter opposed it, bucking the...Uncanny.
* The Filipino brothers Juan and Antonio Luna. Juan was a painter while Antonio was a general [[spoiler: and a chemist]]. Oddly, they both were good at fencing, and would often spar with each other. Antonio in particular was reputed to be so good that anyone who was not Juan would end up dead dueling him. They also both had a hot-blooded streak: Antonio's temper was so explosive that his men were scared of him (especially when his face contorted so much he got the nickname "Cafre" for it) and Juan, though calmer than his brother, murdered his wife and mother-in-law.
* The Gracchi of UsefulNotes/TheRomanRepublic. Both of them had the same political sympathies and ideas but different modes of rhetoric and speaking. Tiberius, as per Plutarch was modest, calm and appealed to reason, while Gaius appealed to emotions and sentiment. Tiberius would speak standing in one place, Gaius would move around and make gestures and act out his emotions.
* UsefulNotes/GeorgeWBush and Jeb Bush. Both are Republican politicians, true, but George is (by all accounts) a very personable man who parlayed his youthful love for the bottle and a certain white powder into a deeply-held evangelical faith. Jeb (by all accounts) is somewhat less personable,[[note]]though not half as detached as [[UsefulNotes/GeorgeHWBush their father]],[[/note]] something of an introverted dork, and is less overt about his Catholicism.[[note]]Though Jeb is a member of The Knights of Columbus, a Catholic fraternal group. It's a different sort of religious attitude, even if there's an equal level of devotion involved.[[/note]] George was also seen as being rather stupid, although some see this as ObfuscatingStupidity,[[note]]George is the only American President with an MBA,[[/note]] while Jeb was seen as more intelligent and a political prodigy.
* The Mitford Sisters. Two of them were [[ThoseWackyNazis Nazis]]: Diana (who married Oswald Mosely, leader of the British Union of Fascists) and Unity (a personal friend[[note]]Rumor said lover; unlikely as it is, it seems that she wished she had been[[/note]] of UsefulNotes/AdolfHitler, who called her "a perfect specimen of Aryan womanhood"). Jessica, on the other hand, was a member of the [[DirtyCommunists Communist Party]] and civil rights activist. Nancy was a novelist, and Deborah is the Duchess of Devonshire; Nancy was considered to be a moderate socialist, and Deborah a moderate conservative-to-moderate (classical) liberal (she joined the Social Democratic Party with her husband in 1981). Pamela was the only non-famous sister; in private, she seems to have been a typical Tory (albeit a bit more racist than was acceptable even for a conservative of her class and generation).

* Tom Skilling, the greatly respected Chief Meteorologist for WGN-TV and the Chicago Tribune newspaper, versus his brother Jeff, who landed in a federal penitentiary for his actions as [[CorruptCorporateExecutive CFO of Enron]].

Ronnie and Reggie Kray were an incredibly close set of twins who ruled the East End of London in a reign of terror in the 1960s. Though both known to be ruthless and incredibly violent, they were nonetheless polar opposites in personality. Ronnie Kray was HotBlooded, rash, unpredictable, a schizophrenic, and openly bisexual. Reggie, by contrast, was calm, cold, calculating, more reserved, and straight. They also had differing opinions on the media attention they received - Ronnie openly courted fame and the celebrity lifestyle, while Reggie wanted what he called 'the good life'; namely, a wife, material possessions, and respect. Despite these differences, the two remained very close to each other even during their eventual life imprisonment, keeping in daily contact through letters and telephone calls, and when Ronnie died in 1995, Reggie claimed "Being twins there's a certain amount of telepathy. I know he is at ease."
* Creator/DougWalker is a lot more mellow than his brother Rob, who come across as more abrasive and prone to making darker, off-the-cuff jokes. That said, Doug's a lot more hyperactive and upbeat than his brother, who's very sardonic and grouchy.
* Whenever Creator/NoahAntwiler and his brother Miles talked about movies on ''WebVideo/TheSpoonyExperiment'', the contrast between them was great. Noah was energetic, melancholic and temperamental, while Miles was reserved, laid-back and calm. Also, while Noah is an online critic, Miles a law enforcement officer.
* Creator/WaltDisney and his brother Roy. Walt was the ''creative'' genius, while Roy was the ''financial'' wizard. Each was equally essential to the success of the company. Walt, of course, became a household word, while Roy, the ''older'' brother, is largely known only to Disney fanatics (admittedly a rather substantial subculture). This might have led to a world-class case of SuccessfulSiblingSyndrome, except that Roy was genuinely more comfortable [[OvershadowedByAwesome in the shadows]]. When Walt passed away, Roy put off his own retirement to take over the corporation and make sure [[Ride/WaltDisneyWorld "the Florida Project"]] was completed. He did so, and specifically named it ''Walt'' Disney World to honor his brother. Sadly, the effort essentially killed him; Roy passed away just over two months after the park opened, and joined his brother up in Heaven.
