->''Just the way she walked was illegal in thirty-seven States.''
-->-- '''[[Literature/TheWarAgainstTheChtorr A Day for Damnation]]'''

When a woman walks with hips wriggling back and forth. She's more than likely to be wearing something tight and/or short enough that your eyes [[MaleGaze are drawn to]] her gorgeous legs and hindquarters. Commonly done while wearing high heels, although it's also possible to do this walk without them.

This is often used as part of a HeadTurningBeauty introduction or WalkThisWay gag, usually having any onlookers EatingTheEyeCandy or getting DistractedByTheSexy. You can be sure TheVamp will walk like this.

In a FashionShow, this is one of the most common ModelingPoses used. When the FashionModel reaches the end of the catwalk, she may strike a ContrappostoPose or HeadAndHipPose, which can generate a similar effect in static form.

Compare ShakingTheRump, ShowgirlSkirt (another blatant way to show off legs), and {{Streaking}}. Contrast SillyWalk and PowerWalk.

!!Examples:

[[folder:Advertising]]
* A Reebok [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MMc2hBxzLvg advert]] for trainers is nothing but this. Apparently they have "micro instabilities" that help you tone your bum and hips. Some have had to watch it a couple of times before they [[WhatWereTheySellingAgain understood what it was actually selling]].
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pOhfGezdcXU An old commercial for Pepsodent Toothpaste]] shows a teen girl, Suzy Q, attracting the attention of two teen boys as she walks down the street in this way (and with her hands on her hips, to boot), although it is less because of her walk than her big white smile (hence, the advertised product).
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Anime & Manga]]
* ''Manga/Club9'': Haruo the prospective hostess gets training from her already professional friend in this.
* ''Anime/IrresponsibleCaptainTylor''. Harumi walks like this from the [[SamusIsAGirl moment she takes off her spacesuit]]. This lasts until she enters Tylor's cabin and finds it blacked out -- suspecting an ambush, she leaps for cover and grabs for a gun hidden in a thigh holster, showing the audience her HospitalHottie act is [[FemmeFataleSpy covering for something else]].
* ''Manga/JoJosBizarreAdventure'':
** Lisa Lisa from ''Manga/BattleTendency'' is shown to have a very alluring walk.
** Suzi Q does this in both her youth and in [[SilverFox her old age]].
* Parodied in ''Manga/OnePiece'' by [[QuirkyMinibossSquad Quirky Miniboss]] "[[CodeName Miss Doublefinger]]", whose hips swing dramatically from side to side with each step (or between ''every panel'' when she appears in the manga).
* ''Anime/{{Penguindrum}}'': Himari's hat ([[MindScrew long story]]) has one hell of a sexy walk when possessing Himari.
%%* ''Anime/QueensBlade'': Melona does this all the time. Especially during the end credits.
* ''Manga/SkipBeat'': When Kyouko has to play a charismatic AlphaBitch character she learns to walk like this in preparation for her role.
* ''Manga/UruseiYatsura'': Sakura's first day as the school nurse has what looks like the entire student body on the front lawn to watch her walk in... which makes Ataru's reaction all the more interesting.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Fan Works]]
* ''Fanfic/GloriousShotgunPrincess'': Miranda and Liara decide to teach Jane Shepard how to ''strut''. They rope Tali into helping, because her swaying hips became infamous on the first ''Normandy''. She insists that she is not doing it on purpose... and demonstrates by showing what her ''intentional'' sexy walk looks like. She promptly causes a car accident.
-->'''Jane:''' ''[to Miranda]'' How is it my little sister analogue manages to do this better than you?
* In ''[[https://www.fanfiction.net/s/3480341/1/The-Night-The-House-of-Cards-Was-Built The Night The House of Cards Was Built]]'', Anko [[LostHimInACardGame bets both herself and Kurenai]] in a [[AbsurdlyHighStakesGame High-Stakes Poker Game]], and are promptly won by Manga/{{Naruto}}. Later on, when Kurenai leaves for the kitchen, she makes a point of "rolling her hips as she walks" to remind the other men who are playing of what they failed to get.
* In ''Fanfic/TheNightUnfurls'', [[TheTease Shani]] slowly walks slowly towards Kyril with a little sway in the hips as she convinces him, a tired individual, to [[DoubleEntendre "relax"]]. [[CelibateHero Kyril]] is unfazed by this.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Films -- Animation]]
* ''Franchise/{{Frozen}}'':
** ''WesternAnimation/{{Frozen|2013}}'': Elsa struts towards her ice castle balcony at the climax of [[IAmBecomingSong "Let It Go"]]. This was partly meant to be [[RuleOfSymbolism symbolic]] of her finding self-confidence (why she also spreads her arms proudly), and partly because it looks good with her [[GorgeousGarmentGeneration brand new]], slinky PimpedOutDress.
** ''WesternAnimation/FrozenII'': While playing charades, Olaf imitates her walk to get "Elsa" across.
* Sluefoot Sue in the "Pecos Bill" segment of ''WesternAnimation/MelodyTime'', emphasized by her large bustle.
* ''WesternAnimation/MyLittlePonyEquestriaGirlsRainbowRocks'':
** The Dazzlings from the movie are sirens who during the cafetaria scene augment their song with some generous hip swaying.
** Rarity seriously shake her hips on leaving her boutique in the short "Life Is a Runway". And all of her impromptu models too, once on the runway. Of course, that's how {{fashion model}}s are supposed to move.
* ''WesternAnimation/{{Shrek}}'': Fiona noticeably as she walks across the tree bridge as Shrek holds it down, showing she's taken a liking to him.
* ''Film/WhoFramedRogerRabbit'': Jessica Rabbit walks this way in general. It's best demonstrated during her stage performance in the Ink and Paint Club. The entire audience, even the hard-boiled Eddie Valiant, is mesmerized.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Films -- Live-Action]]
* The Belgian cult film ''Any Way the Wind Blows'' has a scene of a [[SexySecretary tall blonde office assistant]] walking down a sunny street in slow motion, her lover following close behind, supported by a [[IntercourseWithYou rather suggestive soundtrack]]. The walk itself is not emphasized, but literally everybody stares as she goes by. The scene goes on for two whole minutes.
* ''Film/Catwoman2004'': The closing shot has Catwoman sauntering into the distance, cracking her whip and moving her hips side-to-side; albeit, it is blatantly CGI.
* The Vietnamese hooker in ''Film/FullMetalJacket'', justified because she's trawling for customers. As she's introduced sauntering into camera view with her back to the audience, [[MaleGaze we get a good view of it too.]]
* ''Film/TheGirlCantHelpIt'': Creator/JayneMansfield as Jerri Jordan. Looking at her walk causes a milkman's milk to leak out, an ice man's ice to melt, and another man's glasses to spontaneously fracture.
* ''Film/HappyDeathDay'': During one of the [[GroundhogDayLoop loops]], Tree decides to go {{Streaking}} through the campus, [[ShamelessFanserviceGirl confidently]] strutting past all her classmates as they're all EatingTheEyeCandy. She's only shown with ShouldersUpNudity and with a quick ToplessnessFromTheBack shot, but it's clear she's shaking her hips and making it as sexy as possible.
* ''Film/HarryPotter'' has a male version: In preparation to play seven characters disguised as Harry, Creator/DanielRadcliffe observed his castmates' body language and noted that Creator/RupertGrint has a wiggly, sexy walk. Which he presumably imitated as Ron-Harry.
* The musical ''Theatre/HowToSucceedInBusinessWithoutReallyTrying'' has a blast of raunchy music that plays every time SexySecretary Hedy [=LaRue=] goes into her walk.
* {{Invoked}} in ''Film/JumanjiWelcomeToTheJungle'' when WeNeedADistraction. Except that, given the character in question has no experience ''doing'' a Sexy Walk, she ends up sort of staggering uncomfortably. Bethany attempts to teach Martha how to walk like this but success could be described as 'mixed', at best.
* Franchise/MarvelCinematicUniverse
** Creator/ScarlettJohansson gets a rather nice one in ''Film/IronMan2'' when she first appears in her [[spoiler:Black Widow outfit]].
** Loki has [[https://i.pinimg.com/originals/ce/84/65/ce84653059994d3be20a5fc8f233eb83.gif a rather]] [[https://i.pinimg.com/originals/98/fc/45/98fc45201d3788f02385d22e73e97306.gif sensual gait]] [[https://78.media.tumblr.com/c4d15ad2f639f1726c6ade24358b9f99/tumblr_otiz1wdH0B1spgwzwo3_500.gif for a man;]] he [[https://www.pinterest.ca/pin/582231058049220934/ struts like a model on a catwalk.]] It accentuates his tall, lissome figure--Loki is a ProudBeauty who takes pleasure in parading himself, which includes this particular walk.
** ''Film/GuardiansOfTheGalaxy2014'': Nebula always walks like this when she is not fighting or running.
* In ''Film/MissCongeniality'', Grace receives coaching on how to do this, which is called "gliding" in the film. Humorously, the person teaching her is Victor Mellings, a middle-aged man.
-->'''Victor:''' It's all in the buttocks! Don't I look pretty?\\
'''Grace:''' It takes a ''very'' secure man to walk like that.
* ''Film/MysteriousSkin'': Rare male version; Joseph Gordon-Levitt is a good example.
* ''Film/{{Polar}}'' opens with a retired hitman enjoying HookersAndBlow including Sindy who is introduced in a SlowMotion SexySurfacingShot of her emerging from the pool and doing a sexy walk while dripping wet. However, she is not just the usual PaidHarem FanserviceExtra but a HoneyTrap setting him up to be killed.
* ''Film/ShaolinSoccer'': The pretty girl who walks down the street while Sing and Fung talk about martial arts. Played with in that she trips on a BananaPeel and falls flat on her behind.
* Creator/MarilynMonroe had a famous sexy walk, which she displayed in several films. In ''Film/SomeLikeItHot'', Jerry (Jack Lemmon) comments: "Look at that! Look at how she moves. That's just like Jell-O on springs. She must have some sort of built-in motors. I tell you, it's a whole different sex!" Apparently she accentuated it by shortening the heel of one of her shoes, which forced her to adjust her legs more.
* ''Film/Terminator3RiseOfTheMachines'': The [[RobotGirl female Terminator]] T-X walks in this fashion, even when she's just walking down the street naked (but with GodivaHair and ToplessnessFromTheBack) shortly after [[NakedOnArrival arriving in the present]].
* In ''Film/ThreeWiseGirls'', the floor boss at the clothing store asks to see Cassie's walk. Cassie (Creator/JeanHarlow) delivers a hip-swiveling walk that is pretty sexy but isn't very suitable for fashion modeling.
--> "This is not a burlesque show."
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Literature]]
* In ''Literature/TheAeneid'', Aeneas recognizes Venus in disguise "By her stride". Kind of awkward, seeing as she's his mother.
* ''Literature/{{Discworld}}'': Adora Belle Dearheart can walk "like a snake trying to sashay".
* In '' Literature/MySisterTheSerialKiller'', Korede has a crush on Tade, the doctor she works with. She tries to invoke this trope, hoping to impress him. Instead, he mistakes her “sexy” walk for a medical issue and asks her about it, to her embarrassment.
* In ''Literature/RallyRoundTheFlagBoys'', Comfort Goodpasture, to her father's distress, learns to walk like Creator/MarilynMonroe even before she becomes interested in boys.
* In the French police novels series ''[[http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/San-Antonio_(s%C3%A9rie) San-Antonio]]'', a sexy woman walking by is sometimes described as "trying to write some calculation with her ass, the like of 'I put down 8 and carry over 1'...".
* In the ''Literature/TriggerArgee'' stories (part of the ''Literature/FederationOfTheHub'' series), Argee apparently has one; one person even mentions that it's known among her friends as "the Argee lilt" (referring to the motion of her hips). This is plot-relevant when other characters are trying to find a convincing body double for her.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Live-Action TV]]
* ''Series/{{Angel}}'': In "[[Recap/AngelS04E02GroundState Ground State]]", Gwen makes her entrance into the restaurant to meet her client while doing a sexy walk to his table, while also wearing a [[LadyInRed red]] skintight HellBentForLeather BareYourMidriff outfit that makes [[HeadTurningBeauty every man in the room gape at her]]. Her client is actually less than pleased, as he [[SoMuchForStealth wanted a discreet meeting]].
%%* ''Series/{{Arrowverse}}'': [[EvilTwin Black]] [[DarkActionGirl Siren]] does this ''a lot''.
* Caprica Six of ''Series/{{Battlestar Galactica|2003}}'' often walks this way around Gaius Baltar.
* ''Series/{{Castle}}'': In "To Love and Die in L.A.", has a scene with Kate (Creator/StanaKatic) doing a SexySurfacingShot from a pool and then sexy walking in SlowMotion in her swimsuit past the VillainOfTheWeek to get his attention, though the undercover Castle ''also'' gets DistractedByTheSexy.
* ''Series/DarkMatter''. The men on the ship are well aware of Two's SexyWalk (that's only accentuated by her [[GunsAkimbo twin thigh holsters]] and BareYourMidriff outfit). In the second episode she's walking away from One and without turning round tells him to "stop staring at my ass."
* Discussed in ''Series/{{Dinosaurs}}''. Charlene asks her mother Fran if she should swing her tail or not when she walks. Fran says no, good girls don't do that. Then Grandma Ethel butts in, advising Charlene to "swing it a little bit" until she lands a husband, "then put it away."
* Lady Cassandra from ''Series/DoctorWho'' tends to move in this fashion after possessing the body of Rose Tyler. Billie Piper made sure to play the trope in order to show how Cassandra is much more willing to exploit her femininity than Rose. Effectively, despite being one of the most [[BodyHorror horrible, technically still human characters at first,]] Cassandra ends up [[FanservicePack becoming]] one of the most [[MsFanservice sultriest characters in the series]] and has the moves and curves to show it off.
* ''Series/FamilyMatters'':
** Played with. Carl is going to go undercover as a woman and has to learn how to walk like one, so enlists his wife for help. Then they make out. Then Steve walks in.
** Played with in another episode; Steve Urkel is having some kind of FilmNoir fantasy, with him as the PrivateDetective and all the other cast members filling various noir roles. Predictably, since it's Steve's fantasy, Laura is the Vamp. Every time she walks, a soundtrack of drums going boomp-bada-boomp-bada-boomp plays. At one point Steve snaps at her with "Would you sit down?! [[LeftTheBackgroundMusicOn I can't think with those drums playing!]]"
* Ginger on ''Series/GilligansIsland'' walks this way more often than not. Played for laughs on the episode where one of the male cast needed to dress up as Ginger (ItMakesSenseInContext), and they had to see which one of them could do the best sexy walk.
* In an episode of ''Series/ILoveLucy'', Lucy walks in an exaggerated version of this as part of an attempt to convince Ernest Ford she was a sinful city woman and he should go home. Ernest says "You have a hitch-up in your get-along."
* ''Series/MadMen'': Most women display it (even the housewives), but it's most in play when Joan is on the screen. Makes sense, given that she's ''Creator/ChristinaHendricks''.
* In an episode of ''Series/{{Matlock}}'', Matlock's law partner Michelle bets she can use her sexuality to get some tickets from Matlock. She does a sexy walk, he notices, asks her to repeat it, and when she does, references the ''I Love Lucy'' episode and quotes Ernest.
* Rimmer of ''Series/RedDwarf'' gains a (fortunately brief) sexy walk in "[[Recap/RedDwarfSeasonIBalanceOfPower Balance of Power]]" when his hologrammatic form is merged with Kochanski's hips. And one breast. Six series later, Kochanski's sexy walk reappears -- with [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2a_Hg54V5Os Kryten.]]
* ''Series/SaturdayNightLive'':
** [[NewsParody Weekend Update]] covered a recent list of the sexiest women in comics, and Jessica Rabbit made the list. Jessica Biel walked in as Mrs. Rabbit, complete with drums.
** The parody of ''Series/MadMen'', featuring Jason Sudeikis and Kristen Wiig as 1960s-era A-Holes who meet the characters of ''Mad Men'' [some played by the actual actors; others impersonated by the cast members]) and had Creator/CaseyWilson as Creator/ChristinaHendricks's character Joan. It was lampshaded when she said, "I'm leaving. Wanna watch?" and every character (except Bill Hader as [[{{Gayngst}} Sal]]) were fixated on her.
* ''Series/{{Smallville}}'': In "[[Recap/SmallvilleS01E15Nicodemus Nicodemus]]", Lana gets infected with the Nicodemus plant and becomes NotHerself. The next day, she arrives at school wearing a {{Stripperiffic}} black miniskirt and boots and struts sultrily through the school hallway, [[HeadTurningBeauty while every boy stares]].
* ''Franchise/StarTrek'':
** ''Series/StarTrekVoyager'': Seven of Nine. Her outfit was designed by the Holodoc, and she was too naive to know any better.
** ''Series/StarTrekTheNextGeneration'': Also played for laughs with Tasha Yar.
** ''Series/DeepSpaceNine''. Kira's MirrorUniverse EvilCounterpart, particularly noticeable in "Resurrection" where she dresses up like Major Kira to pull a heist, and the only means of telling them apart is Mirror Kira's vampish walk.
* ''Series/TeenWolf'': Kira does this in "The Benefactor", walking flirtatiously down a set of stairs towards Liam - but it gets PlayedforLaughs when she loses her balance and falls right in front of him.
* In ''Series/TerminatorTheSarahConnorChronicles'', Creator/SummerGlau carefully and intentionally gave Cameron a sexy walk. It should be noted that Cameron, being a RobotGirl, plays this up when she calculates that doing so will help her get what she wants.
* In season 3 of ''Series/TwinPeaks'', the FBI take along the attractive [[FairCop Agent Tammy Preston]] when they go see the Coopelganger in prison. Afterwards her boss Gordon tells her to go wait in the diner so he can have a private talk with his colleague Albert in the parking lot. She does a very sultry walk, which [[EatingTheEyeCandy doesn't go unnoticed]].
-->'''Albert:''' I'm feeling better now.
* ''Series/TheXFiles''. PlayedForLaughs in "First Person Shooter". Mulder is interrogating a stripper. When she leaves, Mulder leans sideways to check her out as she walks down the corridor. Scully, with an amused look on her face, leans sideways to block his view.
* ''Series/TheVampireDiaries'': [[EvilTwin Katharine]] [[FemmeFatale Pierce]] is practically the walking (ahem), talking ''embodiment'' of this trope.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Music]]
* Music/BobSeger's "Her Strut".
* As indicated by the title of "Strut Miss Lizzie", a 1920s jazz tune written by
Turner Layton and Henry Creamer.
* The entire point of the {{Music/KISS}} song "Strutter".
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Video Games]]
* In contrast to the other female characters in ''VideoGame/{{ARMS}}'', who either have a standard walk cycle, are in a mechanical suit or float, Twintelle walks with her hand on her hips with a [[https://i.imgur.com/GNvr6It.gif very pronounced sway]] [[https://i.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/original/001/256/164/d7c.gif of varying speed]], which highlights her already extremely prominent (and famous) rear.
* ''Franchise/AssassinsCreed'':
** Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad of ''VideoGame/AssassinsCreedI'' is not only legendary InUniverse but also among the female followers of the series. His slowest walking speed comes with a nice view of those glorious hips and shoulders.
** ''VideoGame/AssassinsCreedII'' retains a milder version of this with Ezio, the Kenways tone it down even further but it's still there and the women all have it post ACI. Altaïr will always have the most prominent SexyWalk of them all, though. The courtesan [=NPCs=] have quite the sexy saunter as well
* Pretty much all the on-screen women in ''VideoGame/BatmanArkhamCity''. Special mentions go to Catwoman, who is a ThirdPersonSeductress, and Talia al Ghul, whom the game has you follow at one point with her assets prominently framed.
* ''VideoGame/{{Bayonetta}}''. Bayonetta swings her hips a foot in either direction when she walks normally. Her stance is so exaggerated that even when standing still her feet are placed on the opposite sides of her center of mass.
* ''VideoGame/BendyAndTheInkMachine'': In Chapter 3, Henry meets the [[ButterFace butter-faced]] "Alice," who wears black tights and a mini-dress and is obsessed with being beautiful. She forces him to go on a "date" with her, and after she causes the [[spoiler: [[ElevatorFailure elevator crash]]]] at the end of the chapter, she can be seen walking toward it with her hips swaying from side-to-side.
* Litchi Faye-Ling from ''VideoGame/BlazBlue'' as demonstrated [[https://i.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/original/000/911/523/fe0.gif here.]]
* Vivi, the vampire lady from ''VideoGame/BrainDead13'', is always moving this way.
%%* Alicia Claus in ''VideoGame/BulletWitch''.
* In ''VideoGame/ChampionsOnline'', characters have the option of different animation sets to use for movement, including walk style. A set that includes a saucy hip-swaying walk is one of the options for female characters.
* ''VideoGame/CityOfHeroes'' recently introduced the ability to "walk", giving each "body type" (male, female, and huge) it's own unique swagger. The female version is... almost back-breaking to watch, but DAMN it looks sexy.
* ''VideoGame/{{Destiny}}'' has this for female characters in third person.
%% * Of all people, ''[[BigRedDevil Diablo]]'' does this in ''VideoGame/DiabloIII''.
* In ''VideoGame/DragonAgeII'', one of the random conversations your party members can have involves [[TheIngenue Merrill]] trying to get [[ReallyGetsAround Isabela]] to teach her how to do this. Female Hawke and Bethany has this kind of step when you put them to walk around the ways of running.
* Ellia from ''VideoGame/EternalDarkness''. Take your thumb off of the run button, and walk as Alex. Damn fine.
* ''VideoGame/Fallout3'' has this with female NPC's and the female version of the player character. The sauntering is rather exaggerated when running. ''VideoGame/FalloutNewVegas'' decreases the hip sway when running, but increases it somewhat when walking.
* ''Franchise/FinalFantasy'':
** Fran from ''VideoGame/FinalFantasyXII''. She comes from an entire ''race'' of bunny girls who [[AllThereInTheManual managed to evolve in such a way that high heels help them balance]]. Her steel thong does not help, nor do its [[MaleGaze magic camera-attracting powers]].
** In ''VideoGame/FinalFantasyXIII'', Vanille does a real hip-swaying one, that bounces her [[PrettyInMink fur skirt]] and [[WhipItGood attached whip]] side to side.
* ''VideoGame/FirstEncounterAssaultRecon'': Alma does one sneaking up behind Beckett in a destroyed Subway train.
* The "Femme" is is one possible walking style for female characters in ''[[VideoGame/GrandTheftAutoV Grand Theft Auto: Online]]''.
%%* Kat in ''VideoGame/HaloReach'', as well as the female Noble Six.
* ''VideoGame/Injustice2'': Starfire performs one as part of [[https://youtu.be/3FZIxj1KI_Y?t=1m16s her victory animation]].
* Ashelin of the ''VideoGame/JakAndDaxter'' series certainly counts. This, combined with [[BareYourMidriff a few]] [[FemmeFatale other elements]] makes it difficult to pay attention to the actual dialogue in any story-relevant cutscenes that she's in.
* Appears a few times with a few different playable champions in ''VideoGame/LeagueOfLegends'':
** [[MsFanservice Miss Fortune, the Bounty Hunter]] does the most straightforward version of this in the game, to the point where "Strut" is an ability that gives her bonus movement speed.
** A surprising ''male'' version of this trope is seen in Jhin, the Virtuoso, who does what can be best described as the male version of this as his default movement animation, casually strutting around and occasionally twirling his gun around. Considering his [[LeanAndMean lanky build]] and exaggerated movements, it actually makes him look creepy [[MurderousMannequin in a mannequin-esque way]].
** Also played with regarding Camille, the Steel Shadow, whose hips drastically sway while walking (complete with a single hand on hip). However, the overall effect is closer to FanDisservice since this is due to the unnaturally-shaped and over-large [[ArmedLegs cybernetic implants in her blade legs]].
%%* Mathilda in ''VideoGame/MadWorld''
* This is [[VideoGame/DevilMayCry Trish's]] standard walk in ''VideoGame/MarvelVsCapcom3''. On the other hand... even ''ComicBook/{{Deadpool}}'' walks like this during his Level 3 Hyper Combo -- until you hit him then [[BreakingTheFourthWall you get Life Bar in your face, the love of the Hyper Combo Bar, and a home run]].
* [[MsFanservice Miranda]] from ''VideoGame/MassEffect2'' has a tendency to do this.
* ''VideoGame/MetalGearSolid'' has a scene where you must identify Meryl in disguise by her Sexy Walk.
* ''VideoGame/MetroidDread'' gives us probably the most obviously feminine walking animation for Samus (even more than ''Other M''). This is most noticeable in the game's first major cutscene when she steps off the elevator into Artaria and she has a very wide, sexy swing to her hips with each step she takes. It also helps that the Power Suit in this game is very, ''very'' tightly form-fitting to her legs and thighs.
* ''VideoGame/NeverwinterNights'': The opposite sex party member in "A Harper's Tale" will complain about how distracting walking behind your character is. He/she immediately turns down an offer to walk in front, however.
* 2B, the female protagonist in ''VideoGame/NierAutomata'' also swings her hips in an alluring fashion when walking normally. Though that is more notable when you [[ClothingDamage self-destruct her dress]], leaving her to walk in a LeotardOfPower. A2 is an even more prominent example, as she is taller than 2B and has an even more noticeable swing in her walking animation.
* Bad Girl in ''VideoGame/NoMoreHeroes'' does two. One involves dragging her [[BatterUp bat]] as she walks, giving the walk a more "innocent" look. The other is holding the bat like a walking stick and putting her other hand on her hip, giving the walk a "sultry" look.
%%* Aya in ''VideoGame/{{Onechanbara}}''
* Carmen in ''VideoGame/ThePath'' goes trudging through the forest dressed like she's off to the club, seducing any animals that may be watching, no doubt.
* Vanessa in ''VideoGame/PN03'', though it also applies to her entire combat arsenal of sexy acrobatics and striptease/pole dance style attacks.
* In the ''VideoGame/SaintsRow'' games where you can choose a woman in the CharacterCustomization, her slowest walking speed does this.
* ''VideoGame/StreetFighterV'': Menat's [[https://twitter.com/HiFightTH/status/902677791946162176 walk animation]] is this trope combined with WalkLikeAnEgyptian as she struts around on her tiptoes, with a lot of emphasis placed on each step, causing her hips to sway a lot.
* The female character models in ''VideoGame/SyphonFilterTheOmegaStrain'' do this, most noticeably in a crouched stance.
* ''VideoGame/TalesOfXillia'' has [[CatGirl Presa]] walk with a more defined swing in her hips, compared to the other female characters, including Milla. Her {{Stripperiffic}} outfit helps in keeping the eyes low to notice this.
* In ''VideoGame/TormentedSouls'', the main character Caroline walks with a distinctly feminine gait.
* ''VideoGame/WorldOfWarcraft'': Roll a female draenei, and you'll see why "/waggle" has become a [[Memes/VideoGames meme]]. (Although, in that case, it's not a matter of high heels; it's a matter of being unguligrade.) Hell, half the females in ''World of Warcraft'' walk like this -- Night Elf and Blood Elf women, and to a lesser extent [[CuteMonsterGirl orc and troll ones as well]]. Not to mention the warlock's summonable [[SuccubiAndIncubi Succubus minion]]. Draenei just happen to be exception in that the female half of their entire race happen to stick their butts out. Always.

[[folder:Visual Novels]]
* Although this is not portrayed outright, Lauren from ''VisualNovel/DoubleHomework'' is mentioned to shake her hips as she leads the protagonist to the bathroom of the nightclub where they are for a much-needed handjob.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Web Animation]]
* A male version, PlayedForLaughs, shows up in [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J8YW1Xymp6M this fan video]] of ''VideoGame/MegaManLegends''.
* ''{{WebAnimation/RWBY}}'': In the Yellow Trailer, Yang's entrance into the nightclub consists of the camera being focussed on the sight of a feminine silhouette approaching with only two details being emphasised: golden hair and swaying hips. When the doors open to reveal her properly, she continues the swaying walk as the camera slowly zooms in towards her.

[[folder:Western Animation]]
* Francine Smith from ''WesternAnimation/AmericanDad'' in the episodes "My Morning Straitjacket" and "Rubberneck" where she wear a skimpy outfit and catches the eye of many men.
* Hello Nurse and Minerva Mink from ''WesternAnimation/{{Animaniacs}}'' does this a lot.
%%* ''WesternAnimation/TheAvengersEarthsMightiestHeroes'': Black Widow and Maria Hill are both examples.
* The scene in the ''WesternAnimation/BatmanTheAnimatedSeries'' episode "[[Recap/BatmanTheAnimatedSeriesE5PrettyPoison Pretty Poison]]" with Poison Ivy's hip-swaying walk out of the restaurant (in a dress inspired by [[Film/WhoFramedRogerRabbit Jessica Rabbit]]) catching the eyes of some men.
* Circe in ''WesternAnimation/JusticeLeagueUnlimited'' episode "[[Recap/JusticeLeagueUnlimitedS1E5ThisLittlePiggy This Little Piggy]]" does this during her VillainSong "Lulu's Back In Town" montage.
* The title character in the {{Creator/Columbia Cartoon|s}} ''The Miner's Daughter'' attempts one, but due to her rail-thin figure and clodhopper feet, it doesn't quite come off.
* ''WesternAnimation/ReBoot'':
** Hexadecimal is rather famous for her slinky walk, with one particularly well-known shot of it being used in the opening credits for Seasons 1 and 2. In fact, at one point in the Playstation game, Hex attempts to seduce Bob by masquerading as Dot, but her walk ends up giving her away.
** Mouse in "The Great Brain Robbery" episode when she walks past Megabyte. The virus himself is unable to resist [[EatingTheEyeCandy staring at her swaying butt.]]
--->'''Mouse:''' Let's get this show on the road, my meter's running.\\
'''Megabyte:''' ''Indeed.''
* ''WesternAnimation/RockyAndBullwinkle'': Natasha walks almost as a crudely-animated parody of this.
* Attempted by Sanjay's neighbor at the end of the ''WesternAnimation/SanjayAndCraig'' episode "Brett Venom, M.D.".
* ''WesternAnimation/StevenUniverse'':
** In "[[Recap/StevenUniverseS2E7LoveLetters Love Letters]]", Jamie the mailman is present when Garnet comes home from patrolling the ocean for Malachite; his view has him see her doing this from straight-on.
** [[spoiler:Blue Diamond]] pulls this off in the third-to-last episode of the fifth season, ''Together Alone'', making her grand entrance to the ballroom with her HartmanHips swaying ''hard''.

->''Just the way she walked was illegal in thirty-seven States.''
-->-- '''[[Literature/TheWarAgainstTheChtorr A Day for Damnation]]'''

* ''Manga/JoJosBizarreAdventure'':

* ''Franchise/{{Frozen}}'':
* ''WesternAnimation/MyLittlePonyEquestriaGirlsRainbowRocks'':

* Franchise/MarvelCinematicUniverse
-->'''Victor:''' It's all in the buttocks! Don't I look pretty?\\

* ''Series/FamilyMatters'':
* ''Series/SaturdayNightLive'':
* ''Franchise/StarTrek'':
-->'''Albert:''' I'm feeling better now.

* Music/BobSeger's "Her Strut".

* ''Franchise/AssassinsCreed'':
* Litchi Faye-Ling from ''VideoGame/BlazBlue'' as demonstrated [[https://i.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/original/000/911/523/fe0.gif here.]]
* ''Franchise/FinalFantasy'':
Always.
