Fittingly, he's the BigBad of the first movie. Interestingly, he's only called the Green Death in the books, whereas the movie calls him the Red Death (despite being green in coloration).

* Gamma radiation, one of the most powerful forms of radiation known to man, is depicted as green in Marvel comics.
* The original ComicBook/GreenLantern, Alan Scott, could shape and control magic green fire. * The phrase "Magic is green" is used to refer to Matt Wagner's ''ComicBook/MageTheHeroDiscovered'', as that color is used for the effects of the wizard character.
* The Emerald Empress, a ''ComicBook/LegionOfSuperHeroes'' villainess.
* ComicBook/GreenArrow. Although he is a {{Badass Normal}}, his arrows can be enchanted and green.
* ''ComicBook/TeenTitans'':
** Starfire is an alien princess with glowing green eyes and energy powers that are primarily green in coloration. (They were originally orange, but green in [[WesternAnimation/TeenTitans the cartoon]], and the comics [[RetCanon followed suit]].)
** Garfield Logan contracted a rare illness called Sakutia, which was lethal to every species except the West African green monkey. To save his life, his father used an untested science experiment to change Gar into a West African green monkey for 24 hours so that the virus could die out. The serum had the unintended effect of turning his skin, eyes, and hair green and granting him the ability to [[{{Animorphism}} transform into any animal of his choice.]] Gar would later become the superhero Beast Boy.

* The ComicBook/MartianManhunter is a green-skinned Martian with a wide array of powers including telepathy and shapeshifting.

** The titular character is a large, green plant monster.
** The Green is the name of the elemental force which connects all plant life on earth. It is also the source of ComicBook/PoisonIvy's powers.
* The Enchantress of ''ComicBook/SuicideSquad'' and ''ComicBook/{{Shadowpact}}'' can fire green magical blasts of energy and often wears a green dress. She is one of DC's most powerful magic users, [[HeelFaceRevolvingDoor regardless of which side she is on]].
* ''ComicBook/TheMightyThor'': Loki and Amora are powerful sorcerers and the color green is prominent in both of their outfits.
* ''Franchise/SpiderMan'': The [[PsychoSerum Goblin Formula]] which transformed Norman Osborn into the Green Goblin is colored green.

* Sacred Gears in ''LightNovel/HighSchoolDXD'' glow green when activated.

Possibly due to the fact that normally nothing gives off green or purple light except from artificial sources. Natural incandescent light (such as flame) is red, orange, yellow, white or more rarely blue.

** While a Super Saiyan glow is usually yellow, Broly has a green one. It loses some of the green tint once he gets rid of his father's mind control device, but his signature ki attacks remain bright green.
** Also, both the Earth's God and Dragon Ball final boss, Satan, are Namekians.

* ''Franchise/JoJosBizarreAdventure'': This is taken literally with Kakyoin from ''Manga/StardustCrusaders'' - not only is his Stand named Hierophant ''Green'', but it's also green and primarily shoots emeralds as its main mode of attack.

* In ''VideoGame/SengokuBasara'', Mitsuhide has a SicklyGreenGlow BattleAura. Considering that [[spoiler:he survived afer being left in a burning temple to die and that he also tries to resurrect his former master Nobunaga with a dark ritual,]] we can see something "mystical" in it.

* Green mushrooms in the ''Franchise/SuperMarioBros'' series will give you an [[VideoGameLives extra life.]]
** In the first two VideoGame/PaperMario games, the green mushrooms, here called Ultra Shrooms, will instead replenish 50 HP, the most of any item in the games, and the HP {{Cap}} in the first. Meanwhile, the games' 1-Up Mushroom equivalent, the Life Shroom, will only bring you back with 10 HP.

* ''Franchise/LeagueOfLegends'': Karma, the spiritual avatar of Ionia, utilizes magic with an emerald hue to convey that spiritual nature. Her followers have a similar cue.
* The Chaos Emeralds from ''VideoGame/SonicTheHedgehog'' play with this, as they're not ''all'' green. They're still the strongest phlebotinum in the universe. The Master Emerald, however, ''is'' actually green.

* Life Crystals in ''VideoGame/TheDig''.

* ''VideoGame/LeagueOfLegends'': [[EldritchAbomination Cho'gath]]'s eyes, the anubite Nasus, the [[GorgeousGorgon snake-like]] Cassiopea, the [[ScaryScarecrows demon-scarecrow]] Fiddlesticks, [[NonHumanUndead Hecarim's]], [[OurLichesAreDifferent Karthus']], [[CannibalismSuperpower Kha'zix's]], [[SiliconBasedLife Malhpite's]], [[MonsterClown Shaco's]], [[TortureTechnician Thresh's]], the CardSharp Twisted Fate, the WildMan Udyr, and [[TimeMaster Zilean's]] eyes all glow green in their artworks. Riot seems to like this trope. And that's not even counting alternate skins!

* In ''Franchise/TheLegendOfZelda'', games which have a magic meter show it as represented by a green bar, and the potion which refills it is usually green as well. [[TheHero Link]] is associated with the green color because of his green clothes, his homeland in most games is a lush forest, and Farore, his patron goddess, is also symbolized by green.

* The Omnitrix of ''WesternAnimation/{{Ben 10}}'' gives off a bright green glow whenever it does anything particularly powerful, and Ben's transformations happens in a flash of green light. The Trope only increased as the story goes on: starting with ''WesternAnimation/Ben10AlienForce'', the Omnitrix becomes green itself, the alien forms have green eyes, Ben himself dress in green (and so do his alien forms starting with ''WesternAnimation/Ben10Omniverse'') and it's eventually revealed his favourite color ''is'' green (like we didn't guess). He could generally rival Green Lantern at this point.
** Green is also the favorite color of Azmuth, the supergenius creator of the Omnitrix among other inventions.

This trope is also why GreenRocks are named so, even though the trope does not require the color. MysticalJade can given this lighting due to the historical properties of jade being supernatural.

** [[BigGood Ozpin]] dresses in dark green clothing and is a very skilled Huntsman, famed for being a child prodigy who became the youngest Academy headmaster in history. [[spoiler:He fights on par with [[TheHeavy Cinder]], who has the full power of the [[StoryBreakerPower Fall Maiden]]; he moves at incredible speeds that leave green afterimages and summons a spherical green force field that is able to initially resist a giant torrent of flame. His [[ResurrectiveImmortality original form]], Ozma, fought in battle by unleashing blasts of green magic from an emerald at the top of [[MagicStaff the staff]] he wielded. This staff passed through his reincarnations until eventually being replaced by [[ClassyCane the cane]] he now carries. His first reincarnation was so powerful, he and [[BigBad Salem]] were able to pass themselves off as gods to the powerless second form of humanity. ** [[LegacyOfTheChosen Oscar's]] eyes are predominantly green with some hazel elements and his combat gear includes a green overcoat. [[spoiler:His Aura color is green and he can hold his own against Haven's headmaster after just a month of combat training. Jaune, who also developed his combat skills quickly once he began learning, comments on the speed of Oscar's development in awe. This allows him to help coordinate strategy against Cordovin in only his second major battle. In Volume 7, Oscar is falling to his death when he is able to activate a power within his cane; with a single strike, he creates a spherical green barrier that smashes straight through the base of the shaft he's falling down, causing bolts of green energy. He is then able to land safely on the ground thousands of feet below by conjuring the same spherical green barrier around himself. This time, he doesn't use the cane and the emerald lightning explodes violently around him. The spherical barrier is the same one that was used by Ozpin during his Volume 3 fight with Cinder and he inherited the cane from Ozpin; as Ozpin's successor, Oscar is only beginning to master Ozma's inheritance of power, but he can already fight alongside experienced students and survive falls that would kill even them.]]

For some reason, [[color:green:the color green]] is associated with mystical/mysterious powers. In fiction, the ArtifactOfDoom or the phlebotium glows green or is made of emerald. Sometimes, a character ''himself'' is this if his green skin is a distinctive feature.

* ''Literature/{{Discworld}}'': Octarine, the colour of magic, is a combination of this with SupernaturalIsPurple, being described as "a sort of greeny purple".

* ''WesternAnimation/{{Encanto}}: Bruno Madrigal's eyes glow a vivid green when he is calling on his gift of prophecy, and the visions he receives are encoded onto slabs of green glass.

* ''Film/TheMask'': The titular mask is green, created by the [[Myth/NorseMythology Norse]] god Loki. When acquired by Stanley Ipkiss, he gains the RealityWarper abilities of his beloved classic Creator/TexAvery characters (stretching, shapeshifting, bouncing back from AmusingInjuries, etc.). While not quite reaching WithGreatPowerComes Great Insanity levels, Stanley as "The Mask" does use it to [[PayEvilUntoEvil get back at the people who bullied him, and to woo his crush, nightclub-singer Tina Carlyle. When other less savory individuals get hold of said mask, the results are not so amusing.
