The Last Hour of Osleron by Arrodor is an ongoing interactive story similar to a Gamebook and Interactive Fiction.

Our tale is in Osleron, which fell quite some time ago with the real last saviors of the planet now in a dreamlike realm called Earth, yes you heard that right, Earth, our Earth, except in this story Earth isn't real, but an illusion of sorts created only to trap our heroes in a world they think is real, except it isn't.

Osleron has always been a mysterious world, with not much known of its origin, it is said to have existed for as long as time itself, and that may be true, the dark elves are the ones to ask for such an answer, as they were the first on Osleron, and have been here for at least 200,000 years, Osleron fell 200 years ago to the One Above All, with a great purge that swept nearly all the light users from the world, even all the races combined could not stop his might.

Slowly, light magic has been coming back into the world, and it's just in time for the next great purge.

This story provides examples of (WIP):

  • Amnesiac Hero: A lot of characters have amnesia, most have it very minor, while some have completely forgotten everything.
  • Badass Army: The Brotherhood (aka Humans, Dwarves and Halflings), The Brotherhood has mechs to fight alongside them and is one of the most fearsome opponents The One Above All has had to face, even though he's a god they almost defeated him all alone, and if the Orcs would have helped they surely would have.
  • Heroic BSoD: This happens to Nick after he witnesses the murder of two policemen and is given the choice of mercy killing a third one. A huge decision for a regular fifteen year old to make.
  • Living Dream: All of the people on Earth are this, and only a few of them know it.
  • One-Man Army: The One Above All would be the most prominent example. Narigg and Zethra would also qualify in a downplayed way.
  • Prison Dimension: This is what Earth is used for, except no one on Earth knows this, not even those who know they're dreaming.
  • Small, Secluded World: Earth, whereas Osleron is capable of intergalactic space travel and knows of other worlds and civilizations, Earth is only an Illusion and while humans are capable of space travel they can't go very far into it as the simulation won't generate and they will simply disappear, however they would think they were lost in space.
  • Top God: The One Above All. In a world full of gods (which none have been seen yet) he is by far the most powerful, after all he did conquer all of Osleron and transformed it from a Crapsack World to an almost Villain World.
