Tales of the Eerie Saloon is a Western Web Serial Novel series written by Christopher Leeson and Ellie Dauber.

Set in the fictional town of Eerie, Arizona in 1871, it follows a gang of outlaws who arrive to cause havoc and get revenge on the town's sheriff for putting two of them in jail. When they get to the town's saloon, they're tricked into drinking a potion that permanently turns them all into beautiful young women. Now they have to spend 60 days as waiters at the saloon, with the story following this timeframe and beyond it as the girls learn about themselves and get to know the various citizens of Eerie.

First published in the early 2000s on sites like Fictionmania and BigCloset, here, before going commercial.

Tropes:

  • Christmas Episode: "The Toy Soldier: An Eerie Christmas", a standalone story set on both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, focused on Jessie Hanks reflecting back on her past and childhood.
  • First Law of Gender Bending: The potion's gender-changing effects are permanent, and impossible to reverse. Wilma Hanks tries drinking it in vain to reverse the effects, but it only makes them stronger.
  • Foreign Cuss Word: When Maggie is laced into a corset for the first time, she utters what's described as "unladylike Spanish words".
  • Foreign-Language Tirade: Maggie often lapses into Spanish whenever she's angry.
  • Gender Bender Angst: Wilma Hanks is especially unhappy about the change, and at first desperately tries to reverse it.
  • Irony: Wilma Hanks, the one most angry at being forcibly turning into a woman, is the one who embraces her femininity the most after she takes a second dose of the potion, even joining a brothel.
  • Of Corsets Sexy: The women at the La Parisienne brothel often wear sensual clothes emphasizing the corset, with Wilma Hanks wearing many of them.
  • Saloon Owner: The Eerie Saloon is owned by Shamus O'Toole, an Irish man who created the gender-changing potion in his youth.
  • Second Law of Gender-Bending: All the girls come to terms with being women, embracing their new femininity.
  • Sobriquet Sex Switch: Every character that takes the potion gets this with their new name. Jesse becomes Jessie, Will becomes Wilma, Brian becomes Bridget, Miguel becomes Maggie, Leroy becomes Laura, Jack becomes Jane, Elmer becomes Emma, Leland becomes Lylah, Forry becomes Flora, Patrick becomes Trisha, and Arnoldo becomes Anna.
  • Spicy Latina: Maggie, a Latina woman who's got a passionate attitude, is described as curvier and larger than the other girls, and who the other men find very attractive.
  • Third Law of Gender-Bending: Through both the potion's effects and training from others, all the potion girls gradually act more feminine after drinking it. This is doubly true for Wilma, who after drinking a second dose has a heightened libido and wears many fancy outfits after joining the brothel.
  • Unlimited Wardrobe: Wilma Hanks gets this after joining the La Parisienne brothel, wearing a new outfit in almost every scene.
