Amber the Orange Fairy is the second book in the Rainbow Magic series. It was released on May 29th, 2003.
While on the beach, Rachel and Kirsty find a scallop shell, which Amber the Orange Fairy is trapped inside. From there, they return her to the pot at the end of the rainbow, and face off against Jack Frost's goblins for the first time.

- Genki Girl: Amber, who immediately does cartwheels in the air upon being freed.
- Hope Spot: Rachel spots something sparkly and thinks it might be a Rainbow Fairy. However, her hopes are dashed when it turns out to be a crab. Then Kirsty finds something sparkly, but it's just a candy wrapper.
