Go To

A action/Space Opera series written by Joshua Dalzelle. Air Force lieutenant Jason Burke discovers an alien spaceship crash-landed near his lodge cabin. The ship's owner, a robot or "synth," named Deetz offers to take Jason with him, to which the latter accepts. However, Jason soon discovers that Deetz's intentions are less than noble and boots the treacherous synth from the ship, rechristened the "Pheonix," with help from new friends made along the way (Twingo, Doc, Crusher, Lucky, and Kage). The group then decides to hire themselves out as vigilantes-for-hire, dubbed "Omega Force," to the wider known galaxy.

Tropes;

  • Alien Subspecies: Crusher belongs to an off-shoot of his species, geltins, referred to as "galvetic warriors" who, as the name implies, were bred specifically for combat.
  • Bizarre Alien Senses: Crusher's species has a head-full of tendrils that act as extra sensory organs, giving them some sort of radar-sense.
  • Dying Race: Synths are slowly going extinct since their creators refuse to make any more. This is the only reason Jason initially spares Deetz's life, not wanting to contribute to the extinction of an entire species.
  • The Federation: The Confederation presents itself as this but is actually closer to The Empire.
  • The Government: The ConFed is corrupt to the core, with members of its Council more than willing to commit outright mass-murder for a cheap power grab.
  • Human Aliens: Jason is somewhat disappointed to learn that most species within the ConFed's sphere of influence resemble humans.
  • Pragmatic Villainy: The only thing preventing the ConFed from becoming The Empire as governing subjugated worlds would be to much of a hassle.
  • What Measure Is a Non-Human?: Synths are regarded as second-class citizens at best and property at worst.
