PiroPito First Playthrough of Minecraft is a Let's Play of Minecraft by Japanese web creator and horror artist nana825763, also known as PiroPito.

Started in 2017, it is unique among Minecraft playthroughs in that PiroPito is determined to avoid any and all information regarding the game itself, playing it completely blind.

PiroPito First Playthrough of Minecraft contains the following tropes:

  • Accidental Misnaming: Common, considering he's playing with zero information. To PiroPito:
    • A creeper is a cactus.
    • A silverfish is a(n unknown) hedgehog.
    • A ghast is a jellyfish.
    • A phantom is a bird.
  • Achievements in Ignorance: In episode 130, PiroPito meets the Warden. He doesn't realize it's a mob that he's not supposed to fight, so he tries repeatedly to kill it. After many attempts, he finally manages to kill the Warden.
  • And I Must Scream: In episode 74, PiroPito gets stuck in the lower chamber of an underwater temple. With the Elder Guardian inflicting mining fatigue, he can't build his way out either, and eventually loads a two day old backup.
    "I can't break block. I cannot die. It's over..."
  • April Fools' Plot: In episode 77, PiroPito freaks for a while upon seeing the 8-bit textures that appeared during April Fools' 2018, thinking either his graphic card had broken, or his world had corrupted.
  • Bond One-Liner: Akari gives one after killing a skeleton intruding into her house.
    "I don't visit robber's graves."
  • Determinator: PiroPito shows an absurd amount of patience and determination in reaching his goals, a signature trait of his.
    • The bridge is a prime example. He pours hours into building it, to the point of his hand going numb, and is showing no signs of stopping until he reaches the end of the world.
    • It took him three actual days to build a successful Nether portal, brute forcing it by making up any design he could come up with. The immense joy at the end of it all is worth every minute.
    • His first time in a bastion remnant does not go well and he dies multiple times, losing important items. At the end of the episode, he removes the entire bastion.
  • Emoticon: PiroPito shows vigorous emoticon use pretty much anywhere he can write.
    (0u0)
  • Gilligan Cut: In episode 32.
"If I get it, I will go back soon! I'm not greedy!"
    (death screen)
    "What..."
  • Guest Host: PiroPito's nieces Aki and Akari have taken over in multiple occasions since their debut in episode 94.
  • Irony: In episode 131, PiroPito dies several times and loses all his inventory (including his elytra) while trying to figure out the recovery compass' function... That function being, helping players locate their last position when dying, so that they don't lose their inventory after death.
  • Laser-Guided Karma: When he encounters a hoglin for the first time, PiroPito remarks on its weakness when it doesn't fight back right away. Not one minute later, the hoglin rams him into a river of lava and kills him.
  • Lost in Translation:
    • A big part in PiroPito's trouble with figuring out how to build a Nether portal was the Japanese translation of the advancement making no distinction between "crafting" and "building".
    • PiroPito has some trouble in figuring out the function of redstone components such as hoppers or droppers. In large part, this is due to the Japanese translation merely transliterating the English name, instead of giving a proper translation.
  • Obsessively Organized:
    • Upon finding out about coordinates, PiroPito discovers that his bridge starts at X:-14566 instead of his desired X:0, and so he destroys the entire 14566 blocks (and a house) behind the starting point.
    • When he digs around a beach trying to find a buried chest, he finds the resulting mess unacceptable. So he builds a giant reverse fish tank.
  • Shout-Out: PiroPito builds an "Anywhere Door" in episode 85.
  • Spoiler Opening: In episode 97, the thumbnail and opening show the Wither successfully summoned. From there it's only a matter of when it'll happen.
  • Sympathy for the Devil: PiroPito builds a grave for the Wither even after everything it put him through.
  • To Be Continued: All episodes end with this.
