For a game where you are the minion of an Evil Overlord, this game has a surprising number of moments.Unmarked spoilers ahead.

  • Verse and Barik are half-siblings fighting for irreconcilable opposing forces, and they often attack each other, but they do love each other in their own weird ways. The best example would be if you've killed Graven Ashe, Barik becomes despondent and it's Verse's advice that helps him back on his feet.
Barik: I am not the man I once was. I don't know how I can ever move beyond the death of the Great General. By distancing myself from the legion and his protection, I supposes I'll have to learn.
Verse: Welcome back, asshole. You scared me for a second there.
  • Sirin's standard greeting for the Fatebinder once her Loyalty is at 4 involves her taking the Fatebinder's hand and squeezing it affectionately. After spending so much of her life without anyone showing any signs of caring about her, she's finally met someone who does, and her sheer gratitude and loyalty in response are adorable.
  • When Tunon puts the Fatebinder on trial, he will question their companions on their character. If their loyalty is high enough, they will sing the Fatebinder's praises. It's also an important component of winning Tunon's trial.
