• Michael's initial panic at being handed baby Amy (something that would never happen to a man) gradually easing into tenderness.
• Michael desperately trying to win back Julie at the end:
  Michael: Look, you don't know me from Adam. But I was a better man with you, as a woman... than I ever was with a woman, as a man. You know what I mean?
  Julie: (she doesn't)
  Michael: I've just gotta to learn to do it without the dress.
  Julie: (cracks a smile)
  Michael: (encouraged) I mean, at this point in our relationship there might be an advantage to my wearing pants.
  Julie (laughs)
  Michael: The hard part's over, you know? We were already... good friends.
  • Julie then asks if she can have one of Dorothy's outfits. Michael feigns reluctance.
