• In the first episode, Cyrus is living on the streets, is mistrusted by Zak and Justin, and ends up being the reason one of Ben's meetings is raided by soldiers. By the end of the episode, Zak and Justin have built a bunkbed for Cyrus in the kids' room, officially welcoming him into their makeshift family.
• When each of the boys are reunited with their parents. Cyrus' reunion is especially heartwarming, as his parents had been convinced he was dead.
• Anna's adoption by Tacticus and Miriam
• The Easter Story had Ben staying behind to save Capella even though they were enemies at the time. To elaborate, Ben and some of the others had been captured by Nihilus and were facing execution. Capella was left to guard them and, when the other Christians came to the rescue, Nihilus told Capella in no uncertain terms that he'd take Ben and the other prisoners' place if they escaped. Hearing this, Ben deliberately stayed behind and pretended Capella had stopped him. He was willing to give up his life for a man who'd been his mortal enemy's right hand man. All-Loving Hero, alright.
• When Justin goes to retrieve Cyrus after the latter escapes from a slave revolt. In spite of their falling out earlier in the episode, Justin wraps a warm cloak around Cyrus and walks him home.
• A lot of Zak's Defrosting Ice Queen moments.
• When Capella makes his Heroic Sacrifice, he's buried in the family vault of a senator who is good friends with Ben.
