Heartwarming / The Story of Perrine

• Marcel expresses deep gratitude towards Perrine and her mother for helping him find his family, and tries to assist them in any way he can. Both of the reunions between Marcel and Perrine in the series are appropriately joyous.
• In Episode 13, Perrine and her mother take a photo for Joseph, the stable hand at the inn where they're staying. When Perrine finds out that he cannot pay for the photo, however, she agrees to lend him the cost. This pays off when Perrine and her mother later get stuck in the Alps: Joseph, knowing that they probably won't be able to cross the mountains by themselves, requests his father to help them in return for their generosity.
• Perrine's neighbors in Paris (even the Old Man at the Gates later on) and Marcel all help her out when she has to take care of her sick mother. They also console her when her mother eventually passes away and attend Marie's funeral.
• In Episode 24, the flower shop owner who'd been absolutely furious over Baron destroying his stock tries to return Perrine's money when he realizes how little she has. Unfortunately, she insists on him keeping the money.
• La Rouquerie rescuing Perrine, bringing her to a hospital where she is nursed back to health, and then taking her most of the way to Maraucourt. Although Perrine ends up rejecting La Rouquerie's offer for her to stay and continue working with her (out of respect of her parents' wishes), she remains immensely grateful to La Rouquerie for saving her life and clearly has a good time traveling with her.
• In Episode 32, Rosalie's family invites Perrine over for lunch, and Perrine, who has been living off wild plants and fish that she has collected herself, has the most delicious meal she's eaten in months. Rosalie then says that her father will prepare lunch for Perrine on subsequent days as well, moving Perrine to tears.
• Several scenes in Episode 47 onward show Perrine playing hide-and-seek with Baron in Vulfran's courtyard. It's refreshing to see her get to be a child again after having to fend for herself for so long, followed by having so many adult responsibilities foisted upon her as Vulfran's secretary. A couple of particularly adorable moments have Baron messing with Perrine by pretending to have been injured, and then in the following episode, Perrine gets back at him by playing the same trick.
• Vulfran finally discovering that Perrine is his granddaughter. Vulfran's lawyer, Phillip, even sheds a few tears upon witnessing this.
• Vulfran goes to personally thank Rosalie's family and Fabry for their kindness and hospitality to Perrine, and gets them Christmas presents during the Christmas Episode.
• Vulfran undergoing eye surgery so he can see Perrine's face, even though his doctor estimates only a 40% chance that he'll survive the operation. He lives.
• In the final episode, Vulfran surprises Perrine by buying Palikare back from La Rouquerie.
• Close to the ending of the series, Perrine shouts joyously to her parents that she is finally happy, just as they'd hoped she would be.
