Heartwarming / The Incredible Hulk (1996)

• In "Helping Hand, Iron Fist", Hulk hears a woman screaming and, thinking it's Betty, goes on to rescue her and her family from hoodlums harassing them on the highway. When the hoodlums are out of the way, the husband calls Hulk "green friend" in Spanish and offers the green giant his raincoat while the lady kisses Hulk on the cheek.
  • Again at the end, when Hulk remembers Rick being his friend, he breaks out of Ross' latest containment unit, and checks on the injured boy, as Iron Man and War Machine deal with the remaining Hulkbuster robots while Hulk gets Rick to safety.
• In "Man to Man, Beast to Beast", Hulk's scenes with the young boy he befriends named Taylor and his pet dog Scout.
  Hulk: (hugging Taylor before he leaves) Hulk's friend?
  Taylor: Taylor's friend.
• At the end of "Mortal Bounds," Gargoyle, of all people, is the one who saves a dying Betty from the Gamma Virus that is killing her by giving her the last bit of the original cure. When Banner is surprised by this, Gargoyle says that even a little troll like himself is still capable of noble deeds.
  • The hobo who accidentally infected Betty with the Gamma Virus redeems himself by helping Bruce escape from the military on a train.
• In "Doomed", seeing the sibling-like relationship between Bruce and his cousin Jennifer Walters. Later, when Hulk meets Jennifer and learns that they're family, meaning he is not alone as Jennifer assures Hulk she will always be there for him. When Jennifer is fatally wounded during an attack by Doctor Doom, subsequently captured by him and wired with bombs to make Hulk do his bidding, Hulk stays at Jennifer's side holding her hand until he reverts back into Bruce.
• The end of "They Call Me Mr. Fixit", when Allure feels sorry for herself because she has lost everything she had, and the Absorbing Man tells her that she has not lost him:
  Allure: I can't believe I lost it all. I have nothing left. I'm a nobody!
  Creel: No, don't you see, Allure? You are somebody... to me. Powers or not, I'm here for ya.
  [they kiss]
  Allure: Turn that kiss into gold, and we just might have something.
• The end of the series. While Bruce is still a long journey away from the peace he craves, he manages to bury the hatchet with Ross, who gives him his best wishes for his and Betty's marriage. Gabe Jones even manages to get a Ship Tease with She-Hulk.
