Heartwarming / The Gray Garden

Go To

  • Yosafire and Froze's relationship have a lot of these.
    • Yosaf has a large fear of flying after an accident and relies on Froze to carry her through the skies. When Emalf pushes Froze off a cliff, Yosafire follows after her without a second thought, forgetting that she's unable to fly. As they fall, Yosafire bemoans how she just jumped off without thinking and now she's going to die... But then she remembers that means Froze will die as well. In the next moments all she can think of "Gotta save her...!" and the CGs flashes to a determined Yosaf before it cuts to black and reveals that Yosafire broke out her wings and caught Froze just in time.
    • Shortly after is Froze's first When She Smiles moment as she and Yosafire end up breaking into laughter.
  • After the final boss battle, Ivlis and his underlings kick Kcalb off the cliff before Etihw can stop them. Yosafire jumps off after him, like she did when Froze fell, and manages to save him before he hits the ground. Kcalb expresses confusion as to why she would save him, due to his violent past, but Yosafire reassures him that the past is the past and that everyone thinks of him as a nice guy. And then she hugs him. D'aawww.
    • Heartwarming in Hindsight, considering tht Yosafire is the reincarnation of Yosaflame, Kcalb's subordinate and most loyal demon. Yosafire mantained her fondness for Kcalb even after reincarnating.
  • The entirety of the Good Ending, particularly Yosafire's moment in the garden with Froze, ending with her nearly falling in the same hole as the start, but managing to leap over it in time. The sense of closure that single scene gives is worth Level Grinding to ensure victory in the final battle.
  • The fact that there is a world where God, the Devil, Angels and Demons are able to not only co-exist, but befriend (and possibly love) each other. It is even noted by Passing Demon/Reficul (the Devil of another world where demons and angels are at war) that such a world, while fragile, is extremely rare and worth protecting.
