  • According to The Chalkeaters, "Count To Three" was originally conceived as a Villain Song along the lines of "It Just Works." But upon meeting Gabe Newell and realizing what a nice guy he is, they changed it to be more of a motivational number. And Gabe even helped them make the video for it!
  • While "Crushing Thirties" is largely a song about how Growing Up Sucks, the message is ultimately hopeful: That just because you can't do the things you could when you were younger doesn't mean you aren't still capable in your own way. You may just need to rethink how you approach situations and start taking things slow instead of rushing into them. Just kind of a shame the lyrics spelling that out aren't in the animated music video and requires listening to the full song.
