Heartwarming / The Astonishing Adventures of Fanboy and Goth Girl

• Fanboy sticking by Kyra after she gets busted stealing a car in Goth Girl Rising, even in spite of the incredible amount of crap she put him through.
  • Even more heartwarming than that, he reveals that he wrote to her when she was in the asylum, every day for six months, despite never once receiving a reply.
• A smaller one, when he gives Kyra a copy of Captain Atom Issue #42, which features Neil Gaiman's version of Death from the Sandman comics (Kyra's favorite character). He knew how much she loved that character and probably did a lot of searching to find that for her.
• Don asks Fanboy's mother if he can feel the baby she's pregnant with at the end of the book.
• One for Kyra: She was genuinely angry when she thought that Fanboy hadn't e-mailed her while she was in the asylum. She had been looking forward to hearing from him a lot more than he probably realized, given how things ended between them in the first book.
• When Don finds out that the comic convention he was looking forward to was the same day as his mother's baby shower, he's naturally distraught. So, his step-father, whom he spent the majority of the book calling a "Step Fascist," offers to take him.
