Heartwarming / Sky: Children of the Light

Go To

Sky is a game where you heal a ruined world using kindness and bravery, so it was bound from the very start to have plenty of heartwarming moments.

Per wiki policy, Spoilers Off applies here and all spoilers are unmarked. You Have Been Warned.

  • The entirety of the village theater quest line, where your character helps a struggling theater production come together, clearly has a blast doing so, and earns the eternal gratitude of the actors, musicians, and director.
  • Orbit, the area after the Eye of Eden. You just spent likely half an hour or so watching your poor character get battered by meteorites, poisoned by water, thrown about by wind, and eventually struggle and die. Then someone comes along, saves you by sacrificing their own light, and you turn into your true form, a being of pure light. What follows is a beautiful sequence where you twirl through the cosmos together with what appears to be hundreds of thousands of other Skykids, all excited to be reborn and keep healing the world. It really hammers home the point that as long as the Descendants keep making that journey into the Eye, hope will never run out, and even the sacrifice that place tries to force on you is temporary in the face of the bond you have.
  • The Herb Merchant redeems themselves for betraying the Nine-Colored Deer, freeing the captured animals and returning the magic used to heal them.
