Heartwarming / Scarlet Heart

• Yin Ti has to hide from Yin Reng, so Zhang Xiao temporarily hides him in her tent while she asks Min Min for help. She tells Min Min that Yin Ti is her lover who's sneaked into the camp to see her. Min Min immediately agrees to help and is very supportive of their "romance". Later she even attacks Yin Reng, who at this point is the Crown Prince of the Qing Dynasty, to keep him from finding Yin Ti.
• The emperor makes Zhang Xiao kneel in the garden for hours. When it starts to rain Yin Zhen comes and uses his own cloak to shelter her from the rain, even though it means he gets drenched.
  • Yin Ti brings Zhang Xiao food and holds his umbrella over her while she eats.
• A slightly Tear Jerker example is that Yong Zheng doesn’t dispose Ruo Xi after she suffers a miscarriage that causes her to be unable to bear another child for the remainders of her life. Prior to meeting Ruo Xi, most kids he had with other women didn’t make it to adulthood and he understood what it feels like since it isn’t easy to cope with losing an offspring through death. All he does is give both of them space and try to make sure they’re okay afterwards and he never once blames Ruo Xi for being unable to carry a child to full term.
• Another slight Tear Jerker example of heartwarming is that despite being on the verge of dying, Ruo Lan gets her bittersweet ending by being able to divorce Yin Si with him sending a divorce letter to Ruo Xi to have her get it before the inevitable and finally reuniting with Qing Shan for so many years after his sudden death on battlefield.
