Love will live, love will last
Love goes on, and on, and on

  • After the Sheriff takes Skippy's farthing on his birthday, Robin comes by and gives him his hat and a bow and arrow for a present. After the kids run off, he gives the child's mother a small sack of money with which to feed her family.
Mother Rabbit: You certainly have made his birthday a wonderful one. How can I ever thank you?
Robin: I only wish I could do more. [hands her the sack of money] Here, and keep your chin up. Someday there'll be happiness again in Nottingham. You'll see.
  • When the kids infiltrate the castle, Maid Marian is absolutely polite and takes care not to talk down to them. As the viewers, we are made to understand that she is worthy of Robin Hood (and not just "a prize to be won," as Princess Jasmine might put it).
    • On that note, Lady Kluck's engaging Skippy in a mock fight as Prince John, even imitating him sucking his thumb, is pretty nice as well; she's clearly trying to cheer up the kids after they got found.
      • On an additional note, Skippy asking if he hurt Kluck during the mock fight and her assuring him he didn't brings to mind a grandparent and grandchild.
  • Maid Marian and Lady Kluck's conversation with each other regarding Robin Hood. Maid Marian is hoping that she will meet Robin again and Lady Kluck is nothing but encouraging towards Marian, which shows how much Lady Kluck really cares about Maid Marian.
  • The reason why Robin Hood attends Prince John's archery tournament? He finds out that Marian is going to be there, awarding a kiss to the winner. Little John is worried that there will be too many guards but agrees to go with Robin to provide backup support.
  • At the tournament, a disguised Robin Hood gives Maid Marian a flower and winks at her when mentioning the kiss. She recognizes his voice and his eyes and says she wishes him luck with all her heart while giving a Laugh of Love.
  • "Marian, my darling, I love you more than life itself."
  • Related to the above:
Robin Hood: I owe my life to you, my darling.
Maid Marian: (embracing him) I could not live without you, Robin.
  • Little John pulling a knife on Prince John and blowing his cover to save Robin from being beheaded. He's got a completely serious look in his eyes and threatens to turn the prince into a pincushion.
  • "Love goes on and on..."
  • The entire 'love goes on' montage is incredibly romantic and sweet, topped with Robin slipping a makeshift flower engagement ring on Marian's finger. We know he couldn't afford a real ring but the way they both look at each other is enough to melt your heart!
  • As sad as "Not in Nottingham" is, there are some sweet moments in there. An old owl is seen draping a blanket around his wife’s shoulders; Toby Turtle's father feeds Otto the blacksmith, whose leg is still broken; and a mouse divides a cookie crumb (which he was able to get because the rabbit who was eating the cookie hands it to him, to his obvious joy) to share with three other mice. Despite this being a dark moment for the citizens of Nottingham, they make sure to take care of each other rather than fending for themselves.
    • And despite their substantial poverty, not one of the townspeople seems tempted to hand Robin over to Prince John for the reward money, even though they'd be set for life.
  • When things look their darkest and Friar Tuck finds his poor box, "Just like our church: empty," one of the church mice digs their last savings out from under their mattress and offers it for the poor, leading to this:
Friar Tuck: Your last farthing? Oh, little sister, no one can give more than that. Bless you both.
  • If you look closely, you'll see that Friar Tuck has written "Forgive them all" on the wall of his cell.
    • Similarly, "God Forgive Prince John" can be seen on the wall in the communal Cell in Open-Matte versions, showing the townspeople finding comfort in their faith, as well as Friar Tuck ringing the church bell for them, before being arrested.
  • Robin going back into the castle to save the baby rabbit - then passing the child to Little John through the closed portcullis, directing him to get the others to the safety of Sherwood and not to worry about him.
  • When King Richard finally returns, it's played for all the Rightful King Returns it's worth. What is Richard's first order (after having his miserable brother and his stooges thrown in prison)? Why, to arrange his niece's wedding, of course! And so, Robin and Marian are finally married, attended by all their friends and allies (and even a handful of the Punch Clock Villains), and leave in a carriage on their honeymoon. Of note is that, aside from his iconic hat, Robin is once again dressed in the finery of a nobleman.
  • The church mice at the wedding, happily throwing rice. The last time they were seen is when they sadly watch Friar Tuck get taken away, so to see them looking happy once again is a joy for the viewer.
