  "Qrow, please recall that I hold you, James, and Glynda in the highest possible respect. Now understand, there is no one on Remnant that I trust more than Arturia Pendragon."

  • Makes perfect sense with the reveal that in this story, Ozpin's first life was Merlin.
• When Mordred first discovers Jaune is her half brother, she refuses to believe him, writing him off as a simple pretender. However, over the course of their journey to Mistral they bond to the point she calls him a fellow son of King Arthur.
• Yang's seriously feeling down after what's happened to her father, plus Kirei's words of her being just a thrill seeker rattling around in her head. She feels that her lack of a dream means she has no right to stand by her teammates. So what does her Servant, Iskander, King Of Conquerors, decide to do? He activates Ionian Hetairoi, showing the amazed girl his trusted comrades and explaining that his own dream, Okeanus, isn't really the physical sea, but to live life to the fullest with his dearest friends.
  Iskander: A thrill seeker, you might say.
  • And it works. Yang's resolve returns, and she's glad to have another partner for the ride.
• In Chapter 73, Ruby and Assassin/Kiritsugu chatting over the latter's loved ones, especially with Assassin trying everything he can to reignite her hope after Archer's death. Ruby's also especially worried about her father dying away but feels her wish for the Grail has to be used for the bigger picture, so Assassin (who has followed this sort of belief his entire life) encourages her not to throw hope away. Their conversation ends with at least a little of the girl's spirit mended and this exchange.
  Ruby: Kiritsugu?
  Assassin: Yes, master.
  Ruby: I know we haven't exactly had the time to get to know each other, war and everything, end of the world on the horizon. And I know we probably won't have that time before it all ends. But for whatever it's worth, I think I would have liked having you as a grandpa.
  Assassin: Thank you, Ruby. And for whatever it's worth, I could not be more proud of the granddaughter I do have.
