Wild Hunt definitely leans more towards a more heartwarming tale, despite being based off of a series that is known for becoming increasingly darker.

    Introduction Arc: Chapters 1- 6
  • Weirdly, the way Hansel interacts with Ozpin in chapter 1 qualifies. After seeing him as this cold and focused fighter for half a chapter, seeing him so subdued, loyal and calm while speaking with Ozpin is the first hint to the loyalty he holds for his master.
  • With how much flak he gets in canon, it's wonderful to see Ozpin step between Jaune and Pyrrha to protect them from an angry Cinder.
  • While Hansel's beat-down of Adam was awesome, at the end, he cut off Adam's arm because he knew that Adam had been looking to take Yang's arm off. In fact, he sounds furious. The first hint that the cold young man is much more caring than he lets on.
  • Doubling as a moment of awesome, Ruby manifested her Silver Eyes and injures Cinder. However, the reason she did it was out of desperation to protect her friends, not wanting to lose anyone like she lost her mother.
  • Ozpin's defense of James Ironwood. In spite of all his mistakes, Ozpin still cares for his ally.
  • Glynda's affection towards Hansel, her adopted son. As soon as she enters the room, she embraces her adopted son, gushes about him, and promises to treat him to his favorite foods.
  • Taiyang working some connections he apparently has with the hospital to make sure Ruby can have chocolate chip cookies.
  • Jaune's reassurance of Pyrrha that he has no intention of leaving her side.
  • Yang promising Blake to not leave her best friend's side and reminding Blake that she has teammates who love her.
  • In one of his first Pet the Dog moments, Hansel stands up for Weiss against her father's horrible verbal abuse. He even advises Weiss to stand up for herself.
  • Ruby is laid up in the hospital with a needle in her arm (she's afraid of needles) and her concern is Hansel's well-being, who is actually up and about. Hansel is actually taken aback by this.
