Chapter: 1 An Adventure Begins
- When they meet Sora, SpongeBob being reproaches Timmy's sarcastic attitude and introduces himself in a very friendly manner to the boy.“Oh no need for that, Timmy! He looks friendly enough.” SpongeBob replied to the average kid before walking up to the boy and holding out one yellow hand. “Hi! My name is SpongeBob SquarePants, of Bikini Bottom! What’s your name?”
Chapter: 2 Traversing Traverse Town
SpongeBob encouraging Sora to keep looking for his friends Riku and Kairi and assuring him that he will find them. Making Sora feel better and smile.
- “Don’t feel too bad about it, Sora.” SpongeBob went up to their new ally with a comforting smile on his face. “If you managed to make it here, then no doubt they made it here too. If not here, then somewhere else! You’ll find them. I just know it!” That actually brought a smile to Sora's face. Though the sea sponge looked odd, or perhaps it was in part because of his peculiar appearance, his sincere and apparently never-ending sense of optimism had made the spiky-haired teen more comfortable with his chances.
- Sora promises Pongo and Perdita that they will recover their 99 missing puppies.“Don’t worry,” he told them. “I’m not sure how, but I’ll do my best to find them all for you. You can count on that.”Goddard just barked at the Dalmatians, as if translating what Sora said to them. In response, Pongo just licked Sora’s hand and let out a woof in response. The boy looked over to Goddard who turned to him as well, revealing his computer screen which read but a single sentence.“Thank you.”
Chapter: 3 F is for Friends, Good and Bad
- SpongeBob comforting Sora after he has a panic attack regarding the fates of Riku and Kairi.
- Considering that SpongeBob knows from own experience what is having a loved one missing this makes the moment more sweet itself, because it is someone with experience helping another to move forward in the search for his two lost friends.
SpongeBob couldn’t help but narrow his eyes at Leon for that before seeing Sora look down, stuck in despair. Well, the happiest sponge in all of Bikini Bottom wasn’t going to have his new friend stay sad! He hopped on the bed, standing behind Sora and patted him on the shoulders to comfort him.“Hey, no need to feel down, Sora!” SpongeBob assured him. “Like we said, we’ll find them no matter what! We’re going through our own worlds once we figure out how to get Jimmy’s portal thingy fixed, remember? We can just search through them while we’re there.”“Thanks, SpongeBob…” Sora appreciated his kind words. - What was originally a funny moment in the original game here turns into an incredibly sweet one. Donald tells a depressed Sora to be happy if he wants them to join him in finding Mickey shortly after they all meet.SpongeBob being the Happy Sea-Sponge he is and in order cheer Sora up before the start of the adventure, and teach him how to be happy and have funSpongeBob sings the F.U.N. Song together with Donald, before being joined by Goofy and Sora, the song succeeds in cheering Sora.
