Heartwarming / Kiss the Girls

• While not all of the local cops are happy to see Alex working the case, they tend to give him plenty of respect and sympathy and hear out his theories throughout the film.
• The rescue of all the girls at the end focuses on Cross saving his niece Naomi and giving her a violin on her hospital bed, but there is also a sense of triumph about the rescue of so many other women after they spent so long being assumed dead and Cross and the audience having been reminded about them through pictures and newspaper clippings of them on The Big Board and Rudolph's Trophy Room that have some Freeze-Frame Bonus reveals about their lives and in some cases families.
• The hug between Cross and Kate once the nightmare is finally over.
