Moment Subpages are Spoilers Off. You Have Been Warned.

  • Mike steps in to lighten the heartbreaking opening scene with the offer to help Jordi's parents through the trauma due to Jordi's death along with all his friends.
    • Followed up by that is a phone call between Mara and Mike. It's just too sweet and dorky not to put here.

  • Jordan's reunion with her parents and her friends, and meeting Eliza as well. It's the kind of heartwarming moment that you'd wait for after reading a depressing opening to the book.
Eliza: It's nice to finally meet you, Jordan.
Jordan: You as well. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Eliza: That's the least I could do. Go to your parents, they missed you.

  • Any moment between the kids and their parents is usually bound to be this, with a bit of funny thrown in.
    • Asher and Hunter have a pure father-son relationship and it's very endearing.
    • Evelyn and Norman do everything together, whether it be cooking, decorating the house or just hanging out in general. Not to mention that they support each other with Rose's (Evelyn's mom) death taking a toll on both of them.
    • Catherine looks out for Eliza and even ships her with guys she find attractive/suitable for her.
    • Once they're reunited, Jordan and her parents have a lot of fun together, making up for the last year they missed when Jordan was gone.
    • Matt's interactions with his parents are heartwarming in a comedic way. Despite seemingly taking more after his mother, he gets along better with his dad, and they're both hilariously terrified when Tiffani gets angry. On the other hand, Tiffani occasionally trades snark with her son, and seems to have a soft spot for Samuel.
    • Given that they're both very nice like Mike, Mark and Sophie are very happy with the four kids they have and the kids feel the same way.

  • When Matt finds out Asher had a run-in with Xavier, he goes protective mode. It's honestly endearing to see him that way.
    • He also expresses concern for Eliza often (perhaps due to his new crush on her) but it's cute nonetheless.

  • Ms Santos' efforts to help out her students are heartwarming, seeing her being so considerate and caring.

  • Jordan's Character Development is as clear as day here. Seeing her act so nice and warmhearted with her friends, especially the boys, can put a smile on anyone's face.
