- Despite how obsessive she can be, Katie genuinely likes Danny as he is and it's implied that what she feels for him is more sincere than just a teenage infatuation.
- Any time Katie sticks up for Danny, be it against Dash's bullying or Brain's criticism. Despite being a Stalker with a Crush, she does genuinely care about him.
- Before learning about her curse, Danny had a chance to break up with Katie but chose to wait once he realized that she was frightened by some nearby chickens. As desperate as he is to get away from her, Danny didn't want to do so when he knew that Katie was near something that made her uncomfortable.
- Even though she doesn't like Katie, Sam helps Team Phantom go look for her out of concern when Vlad captures her.
- Pinky and the Brain form an Enemy Mine with Team Phantom to help them find Katie.
- At the end, Danny decides to start over with Katie as friends, and help her learn how to control her powers in his ghost form. Despite all the grief she unintentionally caused him, Danny knows that Katie isn't a truly malicious person and deserves a chance to redeem herself.
- Despite admitting that she is still in love with Danny, Katie tells Sam that she will accept it if Danny chooses someone else by the time she learns to control her powers, showing that while she won't like it, she does want him to be happy.
