This is a Moments page; per policy, Spoilers Off!

  • For Jeopardy! fans, seeing the late, legendary Alex Trebek at the hosting podium one last time.
  • Millie and Guy's outing in a no-mission part of the map, complete with (non-coincidental) recreations of her favorite things in real life, like bubblegum ice cream and a swing set, which leads to Guy asking to kiss her and does (to Millie's real-life bafflement). When they part, Millie gives her real name to who she thinks is another human player.
Millie: My real name is Millie.
Guy: My real name...continues to be Guy.
  • After taking out a player who was using the "Bombshell" NPC as his girlfriend, Guy tells her she can find someone much nicer, clearly hoping she'll see him that way. When she instead replies that she doesn't need to be with any man, he's not fazed at all and encourages her to do whatever she wants. We later learn she's created a feminist manifesto which may well catch on in the real world, showing that Guy is encouraging the other characters to wake up and become sentient even before he's aware he's in a game.
  • Guy's upset that Buddy's not willing to put on the sunglasses and join him in being free, but, unlike They Live!, he respects his friend's choice, and walks away saying, "You're my best friend, and when you change your mind, I'll be here.".
  • Guy, while going through a Heroic BSoD after learning he's a computer program, goes to talk with Buddy, who helps him get his head back on straight and unknowingly convinces him to help Millie by saying that if helping a friend, real or imaginary, isn't real, then what is?
Buddy: What's more real than helping someone you love?
  • When Guy has his AI reset by the server reboot, Millie tries to jog his memory, as he had just revealed he had seen her Life Island environment before the reset. She eventually gives him a Big Damn Kiss out of desperation, which goes into a 360 slow-motion shot as his AI branches are recovered and visualized on-screen.
Guy: [smiles as they pull apart] I remember.
  • After going through numerous weapons trying to find one that can defeat Dude, Guy instead simply puts the glasses on him so he can also discover the truth about the game world. When we next see him, he's fully on Guy's side and apparently on his way to developing intelligence past the half-finished code he was thrown in with.
Guy: Be free, better me. Be free.
  • During Guy's fight with Dude and rush to get to the Life Itself build, the scene occasionally cuts to other characters (both cameos and others) watching him on-stream and cheering him on.
  • After Buddy gets dusted by the crumbling Free City servers, the Soonami security guards watching the livestream praise his sacrifice.
Security Guard: That security guard right there was a goddamn hero!
  • Guy makes it into Free Life, with all the remaining NPCs cheering him on, even Dude.
  • When Guy and Millie part for the last time, but not before Guy tells her what she needs to hear.
Guy: I love you, Millie. Maybe that's just my programming talking...but somebody wrote that program. I'm just a love letter; somewhere out there is the author.
[Millie's eyes widen and well up realizing it's Keys]
    • Followed by her finishing Keys' video he sent earlier and finding out it's his Love Confession to her. She immediately dashes out to catch up with him at the coffee shop, and they kiss in the middle of the street.
      Mouser: Finally...
  • The final scene: Guy finding a revived Buddy in Free Life, and they embrace over having their best friend back.
    Buddy: So where's the bank?
    Guy: There is no bank.
Buddy: So what do we do?
    Guy: Whatever we want.
[Buddy drops his gun belt one last time and they head off into the city]
  • Hands-up person finally being able to put his arms down.
