Heartwarming / Fancy Nancy

Go To

This is a show that definitely knows how to make you feel happy.

  • "Chez Nancy" has Nancy try to bend head over heels to impress Grace with her playhouses, which she only is when Jojo and Freddy are kicked out. Nancy realizes everyone should be welcome, and invites them in.
  • "School De Fancy" has Nancy trying to teach Lionel, Rhonda, and Wanda how to be fancy, but they end up miserable. They then see the certificates she made for them, and are touched to see she had a lot of faith in them. They then put on a performance to cheer her up, and she accepts their own unique style of fanciness.
  • "Tea Party Trouble" has Nancy accidentally get her hand stuck in her mother's tea pot that her mother gave her, and then she accidentally breaks the tip off. Rather than get mad, Claire says how she also once broke a tea ornament and how there's now an interesting story to tell.
  • "Nancy's Sacre Bleu Fondue" has her cousin Jonathan come in, and win over everyone with his fanciness, making her envious. When she snaps, they then talk things out and how he looks up to her. They then promptly make up.
  • "La Danse Of Friendship" ends on a rather sweet note with Nancy and Bree making up after they have trouble deciding on what dance to do. They then do a dance with a rainbow and a peacock.
  • "Nancy's Vanity D'Art" has Nancy wanting to use her late grandmother's vanity, but her grandfather is reluctant to give it away since he wants the legacy. Nancy then agreed to let him keep it, but he then decides to let her have it. She then decorates it like she did while still adding her own flare.
  • "Toodle Loo Miss Moo" has two major instances.
    • Nancy got Miss Moo for her 3rd birthday and how she helped her in tough times.
    • She then gives her away to make Bree's younger brother Freddy happy.
  • At the end of "Cafe Parfait", Nancy keeps her restaurant open to help her parents out when the restaurant they wanted to go to is overbooked.
  • In "Nancy's Ghostly Halloween" , though it leads to her being seen as a ghost , Jojo tries everything she can to give Nancy her cloak back so she won't freeze. Upon seeing the trouble she went through in the end, Nancy then decides to wear it.
  • "Nancy's Supreme Night Out" shows the great relationship she has with Bridgette, who works at the pizza place. She's like a big sister to her, being very encouraging and professional on her level, especially at the end.
  • The ending to "Vive La Revolution" definitely shows this, as Nancy and her mother come to an agreement on how they can keep Oaky unfenced as long as they're careful when climbing.
  • "Million Dollar Minnow" nicely expands on the relationship Nancy has with Mrs. Devine in encouraging her to swim.
  • Everything about the ending to "Nancy And The Nice List" qualifies. Put simply, Nancy wants a special bike, and does plenty of good deeds to get on the nice list. She then realizes that her friend Daisy is among the less fortunate in the city. What does she do? She decides to give the bike to her as a Christmas gift in secret all just to make her happy. Someone bring out the tissues.
  • In "Nancy's Dog Show Disaster," Nancy decides not to show Frenchy in the dog show she herself creates in favor of Mrs. Devine's dog Jewel because Frenchy apparently can't do any special tricks. She uses Jewel for two rounds, with Frenchy locked inside the Clancy house before she spots him and lets him out because he has her heart. She is disqualified from the show for using two dogs, but doesn't care.
  • "Mon Amie... Grace?" exemplifies this really well. Through a Valentine's mix up, Grace thinks that she and Nancy are best friends. Nancy is trying to tell her the truth , but is reluctant to do so since she sees that she doesn't have many friends. The whole episode really shows how much Nancy cares for her, particularly the ending. Though confused, Grace is clearly touched by Nancy's behavior.
  • "Nancy's Parfait Pony" also shows quite a bit of this. Grace gets a pony named Pepper that Nancy and Bree really like. When he accidentally gets free and ends up in Nancy's yard, and they think he wants to stay with them. Their behavior at keeping a potential friend for life is rather adorable. The ending is what really seals it. Nancy and Bree give Pepper back, but Grace still has trouble controlling him when he gets excited. Nancy and Bree show her how, and she actually lets them visit him.
  • "Paris Adieu" has two moments like this near the end:
    • Grace comes by Nancy's house of her own accord, and tries cheering her up when she's down. It doesn't work, but she did try cheering her up.
    • When Nancy is still down, Claire comes in and tells her a story on how she once tried saving up for Switzerland as a way to cheer her up. This inspires Nancy to keep saving up for Paris.
  • "Trois Cheers For Mrs. Devine" really shows how strong Nancy and Mrs. Devine's relationship is, with Nancy doing everything she can to cheer her up. Mrs. Devine is also gentle in letting her down before eventually talking to her about her husband's death. Their bond is really strong.
  • In "The Buzz on Oak Street", why is Grandpa Frank determined to remove the beehive from the Clancys' yard? Because Nancy was stung by a bee.
  • "Nancy's Dream Comes True" ends with Nancy's friends throwing her a farewell party before she leaves for Paris. Doubles as a Tear Jerker as aside from Bree, this marks the final appearance of all Nancy's friends.
  • The last line of the series, from the Grand Finale, "Paris at Last!"
Nancy: It's...magic. And the only thing more magical than Paris is famile. That's French for family.
