It's revealed that Miss Match and Captain Heroic are in a Secret Relationship. They even have a son together, and when miss Match jokingly orders Captain Heroic to "hand over the baby," Oscar goes, "MOMMY!" and reaches for her.
One adorable arc is Oscar keeps calling for his dad at night. Miss Match is no help, taking notes on his nightmares, Despite getting tired, and hitting his Rage Breaking Point right when the sun rises, Cap always goes to check on his son.
Which calls back to this similarly heartwarming strip.
Captain Heroic wins a wish from Grandgamer, that can change reality. He considers giving Oscar powers, making himself powerful enough to depose Evil, Inc. to protect Miss Match, or having Evil Atom forget his secret. Miss Match tells him that she's fine with him turning her into a superhero or making Oscar one as well. Even so, Captain Heroic decides to forfeit the wish, while lying to Evil Atom that he wished that anything that happens to Cap's family will happen to Evil Atom's loved ones in turn.
Miss Match, after Evil Atom fires her, finds herself tasked to shoot Captain Heroic with a device that will strip him of his powers. When he finds out, Cap tells her it's okay, without betraying their relationship. She ends up missing on purpose, but the weapon misfires, and depowers him anyway. He doesn't blame her.
Captain Heroic is very apologetic after an arc where Miss Match accidentally erased memories of their marriage. This is because he tried taking her in and wiping her memories, as well as sleeping with another hero. To restore his mind, she faked her capture and seduced him. When he realizes that "Em" is trapped in the heroes' facility, he asks her what she's doing there and run before she's busted and confined. She does so, and punches him on seeing the lipstick, but later they have a talk and Cap makes it clear he would never have cheated on her willingly.
Version Two
Cap and Miss Match are still in their Secret Relationship, but this is before Oscar is born. Captain tells Miss Match he'll do anything to make sure she's not busted.
