After the young girl (Ii-chan) is brought into the koban, watching Hiroki and Shotaro look after her is pure sweetness, especially on Hiroki's part.
Sakurako helping Ii-chan by giving her some of her old clothes to wear can serve to remind viewers that, underneath that cold exterior, she's still an emphatic person.
Hiroki pleading Ume to watch over Ii-chan after the team discovers her mother's gristly murder is both this and Tear Jerker. It's a bittersweet moment, seeing this policeman show just as much concern for a child's innocence as he is about solving the case.
"The Bones that Slumber in Summer"
Yuriko realizes that her grandmother died not because of a suicide but it's because of a bad fall after she tripped on the cliff face prior to returning back.

Sakurako taking Hector in at the end of the arc as a symbolic gesture since Takashi Fujioka is trying to move on from the events of what happened in his family.

Sakurako offers her help to Yuriko to help solve a mystery that happened in the summer festival.

Sakurako and Shotarou help an old lady put the remains of her child to rest.
Sasaki digs the skeleton of his lover, to check the justification of his fears. They are justified and he leaves her bones to herself, perceiving it as a reunion after death.
