Heartwarming / Borat

Go To

  • When Borat introduces his mother:
Borat: This is my mother. She oldest woman in whole of Kuzec. She is 43. I love her.
  • Though it tends to get lost in the noise of Borat's antics, a perceptive viewer may note that the majority of Borat's victims brief acquaintances were as helpful and accommodating as possible to this apparently lost foreigner, despite how hard it makes it for them. A fair handful even try to explain American concepts to him.
    • The frat-boys really feel for Borat when he finds out Pamela's...not a virgin. They were still racist and misogynistic and sue him after finding out they were on camera, though.
    • The evangelical Christians Borat runs into near the end of the movie also count. True, they said some ignorant/offensive things, but they genuinely did their best to help him get out of his Heroic BSoD, reassured him that Jesus loved him, and even gave him a ride to California.
    • When Borat asks the psychic he visits about possibly raping a future girlfriend, the psychic makes the charitable assumption that he doesn't know what he's talking about, and then tries to talk him out of it.
    • The young black guys who Borat asks for fashion advice seem genuinely friendly, and don't really say anything out-of-turn.
    • The four feminists he speaks to are exceedingly patient in trying to explain his errors to him even as he keeps saying out-of-turn things.
    • Borat's driving instructor is appalled at Borat saying he wants to run people over, but still calls himself Borat's friend and politely declines Borat's offer to kiss him.
    *Borat kisses driving instructor*
Driving Instructor: ...I'm not used to that, but that's fine.
    • The animal shelter worker saying “Jews are God’s children” and the karate instructor telling him to respect people with different beliefs
  • A heartsick, broke and hungry Borat cannot bring himself to kill his pet chicken to eat it and lets it go free.
    Borat: Go! Live your life!
