As it turns out, Akamatsu's dream girl was right beside him all along.

• Yuzuriha is a mother-in-law who live with her son, her granddaughter, and her daughter-in-law, Tsutsuji. Yuzuriha has a dirty old doll that belonged to her dead daughter. Tsutsuji restored the doll to its original state and Yuzuriha was very happy.
• Akane was forced to work in a hostess bar by her abusive father. One of her customers Kuroki, was the only one who showed genuine concern for her. He even went as far as to look for her when she got fired for slapping a customer because he touched her breast and adopted her.
• Although Akane was the antagonist of the episode, it was only due to the fact she felt insecure about her appearance due to feeling that everyone had their attention on Yuzuriha on Akane's wedding day, as well as her husband Akamatsu making an Innocently Insensitive comment about how happy he was his brother-in-law Tokusa had found Yuzuriha. Upon realizing that he unintentionally upset his wife, Akamatsu sincerely apologizes and reaffirms his love for her - even declaring her the most beautiful woman he's ever met. It's a beautiful moment between two normally shallow, antagonistic characters, and results in Akane having a Heel–Face Turn and apologizing to Yuzuriha.
• This story isn't particularly emotional, but it's very sweet in its own casual way with how well the whole family gets along. Especially since Azami and Hiiragi are the parents, as they usually end up antagonistic, but in this they get along great with their son and daughter-in-law in this slice-of-life tale.
• Akamatsu reuniting with his brother Tokusa and father Tachibana, after he was kidnapped as a child in a foreign country. The local village chief kept looking for Akamatsu even after his family gave up looking for him.
• After helping John out of kindness, he gets Yuri and Akane the VIP seats to watch their favorite singer Yuzuriha on stage, they also get the opportunity to take a commemorative photo with her.
• One episode that has Karin as the protagonist has her focused on her relationship with her brother Akamatsu, whom she was once close with but grew distant with as he became a delinquent in middle and high school. Eventually, she gets the call from her mother about how Akamatsu got another trouble-maker named Akane pregnant, and that both of them were getting married, which only soured Karin's opinion of her brother even more as she came home to visit... only to come home and find that her brother and Akane are changed people, who take their relationship very seriously and are trying to make up for their past mistakes. That alone is heartwarming, but then we get into the crux of it, as Akamatsu speaks with Karin alone and reveals WHY the two of them acted as they did: for Akamatsu, he was used by a girl he genuinely loved and was brutally beaten by her boyfriend when he discovered her cheating, which made him mistrust women and hate everyone, while poor Akane was violently assaulted by her boyfriend and his friend, and when she went to go tell her mother, her mother inadvertently shamed her by commenting on the assault of a young girl on TV, blaming the girl for what happened to herself and making Akane hate herself for what happened. The two got together as a fling, but started to realize they were alike and were able to confide to each other their past and problems, making them genuinely fall in love with each other and decide to make an effort to better themselves. By the time Akamatsu is done his story, Karin is in tears and apologize for being so judgmental when she didn't understand what the two had went through. By the end of the episode, her relationship is repaired with her brother, and Akamatsu and Akane are happily married with their baby girl Yuri.
• Yuzuriha initially married Kuroki so that she could pay for Karin's education. However, the two of them became closer as time went on and Kuroki confesses that he can now move on with life thanks to her and that he might have feelings for her. Eventually, Yuzuriha reciprocates his feelings and the two of them become a couple for real and have a child together.
  • Kuroki and his parents have a falling out after he says that he doesn't want to live off of their money anymore. But when Yuzuriha gets sick and he has to stop working to take care of Tsutsuji, he goes to them to apologize and ask for help. This incident helps them reconcile.
• Akamatsu is at a low point in his life after he finds out that his girlfriend Akane has been cheating on him with Hiiragi, causing him to beat his brother up and then quit his job so he doesn't have to see Akane anymore. However, one day, he manages to reconnect with his childhood friend Tachibana and the two of them start keeping in touch with each other. When he gets invited to Tachibana's wedding, Akamatsu gets jealous of him and becomes depressed again. He then tells his friend that he's in no shape to see him and calls himself a piece of shit. Tachibana tells him that that isn't the case and tells him to meet him outside so that they can talk. After hearing Akamatsu out, Tachibana consoles his friend and gives him a pep talk saying that he knows that he'll pull through this because he worked so hard to try to catch up to his brother. Akamatsu is then offered a job at his friend's company and at this point, his luck starts turning around for the better. He starts enjoying his new job and at Tachibana's wedding, he meets Yuri in person who he then gets the ok to hook up with.
• This episode where Kuroki adopts Yuri after she was abandoned by her mother. When Yuri finds out the truth, she's initially shocked but after it wears off, she thanks him for taking care of her and still accepts him as her father.
• This episode which has Akamatsu as a single dad trying to raise Tsutsuji after his wife Yuzuriha passed away.
  • After he ends up missing her birthday due to work, Tsutsuji gets upset and yells at him and even stops talking to him for a while. However, after he leaves for a business trip, she starts feeling bad about saying mean things to him and tells her grandmother Yuri about what happened. Yuri then reassures her that her father does indeed care about her even if he's awkward at times and she knows that the two of them can make things up. Sure enough, when Akamatsu returns home from his business trip, he sees an apology note from his daughter and the two of them reconcile the next morning.
  • Later on in the episode, there is a day where the students in Tsutsuji's class are visited by their parents and are expected to read an essay they wrote. In her essay, Tsutsuji writes about how she appreciates how hard her dad works to take care of her and how she appreciates it. Due to seeing how busy he is, Tsutsuji doesn't expect for her dad to be able make it but much to her surprise he does.
• These two episodes where Hiiragi and Yuri are a couple and have a healthy relationship for a change:
  • In this episode, Hiiragi is a loving and caring boyfriend to Yuri and defends her when Azami and Akane start harassing them.
  • Yuri keeps getting bullied by her mother-in-law Azami but keeps it a secret from her husband as she doesn't want to ruin the mother-son relationship. After Yuri sprains her back, Azami slaps her there and tells her to stop complaining. On the other hand, Hiiragi is supportive of her and tries to make sure that Yuri doesn't push herself too far. The next Sunday, the couple goes to Azami's house due her forcing Yuri to make sweets for her and her friends. Azami then makes Yuri serve the guests tea and Hiiragi suggests using the super expensive teacups. Hiiragi then follows Yuri back to the kitchen and offers to carry the cups of tea for her since her back is strained. However, once the tray is in his hands, he proceeds to fling it, breaking the cups in the process and makes it look like Yuri had an accident. When Azami tries to yell at Yuri, Hiiragi uses this opportunity to call out his mother for her bullying and tells her that he won't let her use his wife anymore. He then cuts ties with his mother and carries Yuri back to the car where he tells her that he'll always be by her side. The episode then ends with both of them happily cuddling on a couch.
• Karin telling Akane who was mocking Karin’s adoption that she knows she’s adopted but still loves her adoptive parents that same way as her biological ones.
• Kuroki remaining loyal to Karin and waiting for the day he joins her.
• Tokusa getting remarried and starting a family with Tsutsuji but still loving Karin and promising to never forget her.
• In this episode, after living with her neglectful parents who never praised her accomplishments and spoiled her younger sister, Tsutsuji manages to find a happy life. Getting praise from her kind grandparents, getting married and having a daughter. She and Yuzuriha reunite years later where Yuzuriha managed to move past her old spoiled and delinquent self, they reconcile and apologize to each other.
• Akamatsu, who originally only befriended Kuroki and Yuri so he could get close to their mother, ends up being forced to choose between ruining Katsura's proposal to Yuzuriha or coming to Yuri's house when she has "something important" to tell him. He ends up choosing the latter, and in the process realizes that while he'd been watching Yuzuriha from afar for the past six years, the people he actually had so many good memories with throughout those years were Kuroki and Yuri. Before he can give an answer, there's a Time Skip to several years later... with Akamatsu and Yuri's newborn daughter Tsutsuji.
• After learning that Tsutsuji doesn't have many friends, Hiiragi decides to teach her some science experiments that she can pass off as magic so that she can make some. Upon learning one day that he is taking a course for a teacher's license, Tsutsuji says that if Hiiragi does become a teacher then she hopes that he teaches at her high school in the future because she wants to be his student. She then goes on to tell him that because of him she got interested in science and that learning from him is fun. Following this conversion, Hiiragi realizes that he also had fun teaching her and decides to take his studies for the course more seriously. Several years later, Hiiragi becomes a high school chemistry teacher and manages to reunite with Tsutsuji.
  • It is also shown multiple times throughout the episode that he is a very caring big brother to Yuri as he took care of and played with her as both of their parents worked. In addition, while his reluctance to tell her about what his "magic tricks" actually are is Played for Laughs, it's because he doesn't want to shatter her innocence and make her sad.
• In this episode, Azami passed away due to an unspecified illness, leaving behind her husband Tachibana and their daughter Akane. One day, Akane gets a text message from her friend Yuri that she found a dog but her family won't let her keep it. Akane decides to take in the dog in as she thinks that it will help Tachibana move on from Azami's death as he was still mourning her after several months. While he struggled taking care of it at first, the dog grows on Tachibana and he names it Orange after one of Azami's favorite fruits. Eventually Orange's presence helps Tachibana get out more and reconnect with Akane. A few years later, it is shown that while Tachibana still misses his wife, he's much happier than he was before. The episode then ends with Akane reassuring Azami that everything is going to be alright.
• After learning about why Yuzuriha was so desperate about wanting to look like Karin, Tokusa reassures her that she is indeed beautiful and doesn't judge her for having multiple plastic surgeries. The two of them eventually start dating and Yuzuriha gradually regains her self-confidence over time. When they bump into her abusive ex-boyfriend Hiiragi, Tokusa doesn't hesitate to defend her and Yuzuriha admits that while she'll never be Karin, that doesn't matter to her anymore because she now has someone who thinks she's beautiful as is and that she's decided to live as herself, for herself.
