Headscratchers / Toy Story of Terror

Go To

  • Why would Bonnie's mother immediately assume that the toys in back were her daughter's? He could just have the same toys that her daughter has, and there's no indication that Bonnie knew that her toys went missing.
    • One toy would be a coincidence, but 7?
  • How would the mother know what her daughter's toys looked like? Most parents probably don't know what toys their kids already have.
    • Could be she'd helped Bonnie pack them, and so recognized them.
  • Why didn't they just use Mr. Potatohead's arm to open the cabinet? It seems like it would've worked a lot better, since earlier in the very same short we saw that it can grip without being attached to him.
    • It's too thick to slip through the crack that a paper clip can slide through.
  • What was Woody doing while Jessie was struggling with the iguana? The others were locked up, but he was standing on the ledge outside the cabinet a few feet away from her the whole time, apparently doing nothing, not coming to help her.
    • Maybe he was trying offscreen to open the cabinet by himself, knowing that he alone couldn't help her go up against the iguana by themselves.
  • Why didn't Jessie (or the others) tell Transitron to open the cabinet when she freed him? He's almost double her size!
    • This still would've left them with the issue of getting Woody out of the truck, and at this point Jessie was pretty much having a panic attack over having to face her claustrophobia - she probably wasn't thinking straight enough to realize he could've helped her.
  • Why does Bonnie bring her toys with her into the motel room if she doesn't even seem to play with them before going back to sleep?
    • Little kids like to have their toys with them when they're traveling since, even if they like traveling, it's nice to have a piece of home when you're somewhere unfamiliar.
  • So Al from the second movie is the one who buys Woody in this short...Why in the world would he offer $2,000 for him? The motel owner doesn't know how valuable Woody is, so he'd have no reason not to accept a lower price. Also, why is he even still looking for Woody and the other Roundup toys? Has that Japanese toy museum really been waiting 10+ years for Al to scrounge up his end of the deal? Or does he have another collector looking to pay behemoth amounts of money for cowboy memorabilia?
