Headscratchers / The Lion King 1 ½

• If Timon and Pumbaa distracted the hyenas from pursuing Simba so he could battle Scar, then how were they present in the original film to hear Scar try to pin the blame all on them, which was the whole reason they killed him in the end?
  • The entire movie plays fast and loose with the original movie's continuity. Chalk it up to Timon being an Unreliable Narrator and call this movie an embellished version of what really happened — in broad strokes it's accurate, but a lot of details are fudged, for a more streamlined story or just Rule of Funny.
