- Why was Dan totally in the dark about his father's (eventually fatal) illness, and why was Ed able to block all contact from Dan? Wouldn't Crystal have intervened? Or was their marriage retconned, because she did not come up at all in the discussion between Dan and Ed Jr., even though she has appeared in the series since its revival.
- I believe Ed and Crystal were separated at the time of his death.
- How was Wellman Plastics' factory site not redeveloped in the almost 30 years it was closed?
- When it closed at the end of Season 4/beginning of Season 5, Jackie saw a job ad for a printing company that was moving into "the old Wellman plant". It's plausible that they stayed open even through the Great Recession, but it still leaves the question of why Wellman would move back in (unless the printing company subleased the building).
