• Why was Odie scheduled for euthanasia despite being at the pound for less than 24 hours?
  • That used to be the way it was often done, sadly, even at the time the special was made.
  • Overcrowding.
  • The real question is, why is Odie due to be killed after such a short while, when most of the other animals Garfield speaks to appear to have been inmates for a long time.
• Why did Hubert call the pound on Garfield and Odie even though he knew they lived next door? You'd think he would just talk to Jon about his pets bothering him.
• Why was there food in the kitchen ready to be eaten at midnight even though Jon already had gone to bed?
• There are two different versions of the "Binky Saves Christmas" scene from the Christmas special. One ends with the family going to bed with the dad simply closing the book and sitting back in his chair with a resigned look. The other ends with the family going to bed,but the dad being pummeled by Garfield and Odie running over him while he's still sitting in the chair. Why are there two versions of this scene?
