Headscratchers / Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga

Go To

  • From an in-universe perspective, why the heck does "Husavik" have an orchestral backing when Lars and Sigrit perform it at the climax? It's just Lars playing the piano. Did they create a mix for it earlier, and if so, when?
    • Perhaps the orchestral playback is part of Lars's or Sigrit's imagination and in-universe people only hear the piano accompaniment.
  • About Victor murdering the contestants out of fear that winning Eurovision will bankrupt Iceland... has this happened before? Victor acts like the idea that winning might bankrupt Iceland is a new revelation, even though Eurovision is normally held every year. Did Victor only just join the committee that year? Was this the first year that Katiana joined the contest, and every other year Victor just cynically assumed that Iceland had no chance of winning?
  • What exactly did Lars' trip back to Scotland in the climax look like? After Victor's death, Lars must have either stolen his car or walked to the airport. Did he have money or anything on him to pay for the flight? And how much Obstructive Bureaucracy would the airport give a seemingly crazy man in a wet fishing outfit?
    • Perhaps Air Iceland recognised him as one half of the country's Eurovision act and, recognising they had at least an outside chance of winning, decided to give him a free first class ticket.
