• Why do Kabuterimon, Togemon, Ikkakumon, and Angemon not go beyond Champion level when they fight against Eosmon at the end? Given that Eosmon is Mega level, wouldn't they use their strongest forms?
  • Whenever fans discuss Digimon Adventure tri., questions similar to this one often pop up. The most common theory is that, without their crests, the kids have less control over their partners' evolutions, meaning they cannot ordinarily achieve Perfect or Ultimate forms without an additional catalyst to help the process. Said catalyst can be a strong desire to help someone, an impressive display of the chosen child's virtue, or an external energy source, among other things. In practice though, the Digimon never go past Champion level for the same reason why HolyAngemon never uses his Heaven's Gate: It would end the conflict way too quickly.
• Given that Willis and his Digimon make a cameo at the end, what does that mean for the canonicity of Hurricane Touchdown?
  • What it tells us is that the events of the movie did happen. But whether or not they played out exactly like they did in the movie is another matter.
