Headscratchers / Daddy Day Care

Go To

  • How Charlie was able to leave the supermarket with Ben after trampling so violently the cereal box Charlie couldn't buy? He shouldn't have been forced to pay for it due not only spoiling it but putting it back on its place like if it was still for sale? At least a female customer witnessed his actions and just turned her head like if nothing happened.
    • Maybe he got in trouble for it offscreeen?

  • This one has always bugged me since the first time I saw the film. When Phil is giving pamphlets to many moms so they can enlist their children into Daddy's Day Care, one little girl kicks him in the groin as she was leaving her karate class, but her mother, despite taking a pamphlet, doesn't scold nor reprimand her daughter for what she did. THAT MAN WAS BEING KIND WITH HER AND SHE JUST KICKED HIM RANDOMLY WHERE IT HURTS MOST!!! Leaving your karate class doesn't mean that you can kick whoever you see first just to practice what you have learned...
    • The apple doesn't fall far from the tree. That girl's mother was probably even more rotten than the daughter.

  • How are Charlie and Phil able to afford the new location of Daddy Daycare after having their fundraiser sabotaged by Ms. Harridan and walking out on their new jobs? Even with an influx of new families from Chapman, it seems unlikely that they could get a business loan big enough to cover their initial costs.

  • How is possible that Tony has The Flash as his favorite superhero and dresses like him but doesn't even know any members of Flash's rogues gallery despite knowing about other DC Comics villains like The Joker, Lex Luthor or The Riddler? I agree that being a little kid means that he possibly doesn't have too much comic book lore knowledge, and I even admit that when I saw this film for the first time, I didn't know any names of some members of Flash's rogues gallery, but that's possibly because I was never a great fan of the Flash, preferring Batman and Superman instead. He shouldn't have asked his mother or any friends of his about this?
    • I took it that Tony mostly knew Flash from Justice League or similar shows (or comics), which doesn't have too many of the Flash's rogues gallery.
      • Pretty much this, while the Flash does have a quite large Rogues Gallery, hell even the name "Rogues Gallery" comes from the Flash, most of them are kind of one-note gimmicky types who rob banks, The Flash is better known for his actual Speedster Rivals and Time Paradox Shenanigans than any of his "daily" villains, most of the Villains that people know about, probably know them from The Flash (2014), than they do from the comics or animation, such as Zoom & Reverse Flash (who in the comics are the same person usually), Savitar, Killer Frost, Captain Cold and Heatwave, even Firestorm is better known in the show.
