  • This is only a little one, but what is it that Magus doesn't tell Mario on this page (http://www.captainsnes.com/2002/10/29/221-the-one-thing-mario-doesnt-get/)? Why doesn't Magus find the boss fight with Bowser trippy like the rest of Mushroom Kingdom? Is it because Magus is a villain in Chrono Trigger?
    • Defeating Bowser by hitting an object behind him makes sense to Magus because you fight and defeat Ozzie, one of his underlings, in a similar manner. Hit an axe and Bowser falls out of the fight, hit a switch and Ozzie falls out of the fight.
    • The reason has now been confirmed as something that Magus knows because he is a villain. Fate (well, the will of Videoland) ensures that any villain's scheme is going to have a weak point, so you might as well build it in yourself so you know what it is. He attributes the design of his defence spell to following this "Villain's First Rule."
