** It's not even hard to imagine her saying that. If it was unclear, another variation of that simile is that it's like when you get a high-enough score in an old arcade video game, it resets itself back to zero to prevent itself from locking up because the cabinet's not powerful enough to process large numbers past a certain point. Osaka's spaciness may work similarly, and on occasion becomes an exceptionally clear perceptiveness of the world around her.

** Possibly precisely because she had seen what it did the first time, had had time to think about it, and the Yukarimobile was not an option the second time so she made peace with that.

With her well-toned musculature, increased metabolism, and lower body fat than Yukari, who is lazy and tends to eat a lot when she can afford to do so, Nyamo's muscles absorb alcohol far more readily. This leaves less alcohol circulating in the bloodstream for her liver and brain to absorb, and likely helps to alleviate the effect (if my recollection is correct, which it probably isn't, Minamo also had a history of heavy alcohol use and can likely weather a hangover more easily than a less experienced person with a similar hangover). In addition to the previous points about Minamo's metabolism, Yukari is not particularly refined when it comes to her tastes in... well, anything, and is quite frugal (some might say miserly, when it comes to things aside from korean barbecue). The gourmand that she is, Yukari likely purchased inexpensive, low-quality sake with an alcohol content lower than a more finely distilled rice wine.[[/labelnote]]
** That still doesn't explain why she drank it inthe first place. RuleOfFunny, obviously.

*Why didn't Chiyo do the homework in episode 1?
**In episode 1, a male teacher (who is never seen again) is berating the students for missing homework. Chiyo is one of the students berated. But it's implied to be the first day of the year, why would there be homework? If it's not, why didn't Chiyo do the work? She's not Tomo. She actually cares about getting good grades. Plus, if it was just Chiyo's first day, couldn't she have explained "I couldn't have done it, it's my first day here"?

*Why is Osaka still playing the recorder in English class? Was she playing the whole time?

**In the episode where Osaka gets the hiccups, it shows her in Music class, trying to play the recorder. But then it transitions to English, a completely different room, where she is still playing the recorder. But why? Wouldn't the teacher have taken it back after class? Was she playing the whole class period? Because Yukari seemed to be in the middle of a lecture.

*Why does Osaka pinch her breast after asking to play water polo?

** In the pool episode, after the girls change into their swimsuits, Kimura suggests them playing basketball and other sports, but Osaka suggests playing water polo, then she pinches her breast for no reason. But why?

** There's no such concept in the Japanese school system as holding someone back, or failing a grade. If this is your third year of high school, you're a third year student. It's only the university entrance exams that really matter.

** No in-story reason is given, but the ''actual'' reason is that the original manga version of the story is from the first year, before Kagura joined them. Presumably the writers of the anime decided there wasn't a graceful way to insert Kagura without either making her obviously superfluous, or heavily rewriting the story.

** Shaken verifies that the car runs properly, is tuned and has its emissions in spec. How dented it is on the outside isn't really important (as long as it's not actually missing vital pieces). Shaken only starts to get difficult to pass once a car approaches 8-10 years old.

Why use curly braces?

** Here's my answer: Since there is a good translation available for -san, the translator used that translation. Since -chan isn't as easily translated (though in this case "Little Chiyo" ''might'' work), they leave -chan which has {{Added Alliterative Appeal}} going for it. The translator followed a principle I love very much: Translate all Japanese expressions and suffixes unless it's just not possible. Sure, American teenagers don't address each other with Miss, but they don't say -san or -chan either (unless they LOVE manga and anime). And if they'd wanted to be ''very'' polite, they would say "Miss Sakaki" and so on.
