In this channel, there are numerous cases of greedy people who will do anything to get money without lifting a finger, be it for status, or to spend it without any care in the world. Not even marriage is an obstacle for them if the target in front of them is way richer than their current spouse, in which they divorce the poor sod and remarry the Meal Ticket. Moreover, some of these gold diggers are insidious enough to team up with a "better" match and slander their current spouses, or even take the kids in a divorce so they can get child support money to spend on frivolities. All in all, this warrants MoniRobo a Gold Digger subpage.


  • "My ex-fiancé decided to ghost the wedding because I was in a wheelchair..." Yukari ditched Ataru due to his disability and the fact that he's a freelancer by walking out on his wedding. She only went back to him when she heard that he got rich by starting his own business but he rejected her.
  • "My ex dumped me because she thought I was poor but when she found out I wasn't...": Reika broke up with Ren because she thought he was poor and invited him to her wedding with her new fiancé. When she found out Ren was actually the son of a company director, she ditched her current fiancé and tried to get back with Ren but failed.
  • "My girlfriend celebrated my father getting sick, so I taught her a lesson": Erika mooched off of Ataru for being the son of a CEO to buy designer bags. He questions himself for choosing her, but when she celebrates that his dad fell ill since it meant she's going to get the old man's inheritance, he exacts revenge on her by exposing her to his father.
  • "Daughter kicked me out, but she somehow became homeless after that": Keiko planned to marry a college student named Reiji after he finally achieved his dream to become famous since he was the frontman of a college rock band. This was after she kicked her daughter Rumi out of the house in the absence of Mr. Takahashi.
  • "Girl ruins my kimono without knowing its true value": Reina Yakamashi chased her classmate Sunao Masayoshi for his wealth after graduating high school.
  • "My mother was only interested in my father's wealth…": Minako married her husband for money and abused their daughter Nezukonote . When the man found out she was cheating on him, the hag agreed to the divorce only to demand Nezuko's custody. Not because she suddenly had a change of heart, but because the man was dying and wanted to pass down all his properties to Nezuko and thus Minako would get access to the money if he caved in.
  • My new wife was abusing my daughter behind my back: Kayoko seemed to marry Tatsuya for love, but then she started abusing Minori for being autistic. She revealed that the real reason she married Tatsuya was money; she demanded to divide his estate when he asked for a divorce. Not only that, she even stole the funds Tatsuya saved for Minori to spend on frivolities.
  • My ex-wife took one of my kids with her saying "I'll give you the useless one!": Akane divorced her husband Yoshiichi when his company went bankrupt, taking Mayuka with her and leaving him with Mayuko before dating an unemployed man in the hopes of living off the girl. However, she calls Yoshiichi to swap twins after finding out Mayuko became a successful student and swimmer while Mayuka became a rebellious delinquent.
  • "My wife left me for a CEO, but in the end, I got together with his wife": Camila divorced her husband Silas in favor of a CEO named Morogoni, despite being married himself. His wife, Miss Veronica, decides to divorce him and date Silas. One year later, Camila tries to get back with Silas after finding out her new husband was sterile and she was atrocious at accounting after taking over Miss Veronica's job.
  • My childhood friend stole my fiancé, but little did she know….: Rena dumped Nano's ex-boyfriend Ryuji for not earning enough, and sought to steal Masayoshi, whom she bullied earlier on, after finding out he was a CEO.
  • My girlfriend dumped me, but then…: Harumi dumped Takuya for daring to apply for a startup company instead of a big company, justifying herself that her father started his own company and went bankrupt as a result. However, Harumi admits that she only dated him in the hopes he would bring her money.
  • The parents who only loved my brother: Yoshiko cheated on Tsugumi's father with a man named Hayase and only stuck with him for the life insurance payout after he died of overworking. She even forced Tsugumi to work to bring money for her.
  • My sister despised me for working at home and tried to take over my apartment: Tomomi supposedly married a rich man named Yuichi, but when her brother Tomokazu brought it up, she whines that the man wasn't as rich as he appeared and she couldn't buy designer bags. When she found out Tomokazu lived in a luxurious apartment despite being an otaku, she became envious and tried to steal it from him.
  • My best friend's fiancée said, "You make me sick. Don't come to our wedding!": Risa is revealed to have cheated on her fiancé Hisao with a company manager in a slideshow her sister Tsubasa arranged for her wedding.
  • My beloved wife was cheating on me and finds it amusing that I broke my leg: Kaori Hayama admits in her POV that she only married Tatsuya for his money and plans to divorce him, take all money from their joint account before marrying her lover Ryusei and take his apartment. However, Tatsuya sells the apartment with the help of his lawyer Someya, on top of helping him close the joint account to keep her from taking his money.
  • My daughter comes to me crying for help after being abused by her stepdad: Mr. Yamashita accused his wife Kyoka of wanting him for his money to deflect hers and her ex-husband Ataru's suspicions that he only married her just to have his way with her intellectually disabled 16-year-old daughter Sato.
  • My mother left us for this rich CEO: Ren's mother leeched off of both him and her husband while married, eventually divorcing the latter after his firing. She left the house to move in with a CEO whom she turned out to have an affair with and let her kick his wife out of the house because she couldn't provide him with any sons. Furthermore, she even refused to turn in the divorce papers until two days after the divorce just to keep using his credit card.
  • Best friend steals my girlfriend: Rinko dumped Atsumu for being a "bottom-feeder" and revealed she already had a boyfriend, who was his former best friend and rival Ryuta, who is on a higher position. When he became successful and reported Ryuta to the higher-ups for pocketing profits, she tried to get back with him only to be rejected.''
  • I hired a private detective to take down my cheating husband: When Ichiko reunited with the PI she hired to track her cheating husband Ryohei, she finds out his lover, Nanako, was married to a wealthy man 40 years older than her. Moreover, the man had connections to the Yakamashi Gang by being the leader's brother and used them to rub out any and all of Nanako's lovers.
  • Husband left me and got remarried…: Ryuta Tekito only married Hanayo for her family's money and asks her for a divorce to marry her sister instead to ensure he still has access to the money, despite her asserting she doesn't have a sister. However, Hanayo is right: The "sister" is actually Hanayo's estranged biological mother, who was also a gold digger.
  • My sister looks down on me and even tries to steal my fiancé: Eriko married a portly rich CEO named Masamitsu Asahara and lives a luxurious life in a mansion. However, when she finds out her sister Kyoko's fiancé, Tatsuma Ukigaya, made 10 million yen a year, she becomes jealous and tries to drive him away. When it switches to Eriko's POV, she reveals her husband's company was losing steam and he became fatter after marrying, so she was determined to steal Tatsuma from Kyoko.
  • My friend stole my "husband" and tried to kick me out of my home: Miki stole Hiyori's alleged husband Itsuki and married him for his money, urging Hiyori to leave the house. When she does just that, Miki finds out he's living with his parents and it turns out Itsuki is not Hiyori's husband, but her half-brother who was indebted to Hiyori's mother for causing a car accident and thus passed up for inheritance.
  • This woman in her early 20s stole my husband: Mika turns out to have only hooked up with Charako's husband for his money despite both of them justifying it to her as "true love". When Charako had the lovebirds pay her compensation, Mika left him when they moved into a shabby apartment and got a new boyfriend.
  • The child support I was paying for was being used for...: Rena left Masayoshi and took their daughter Sakura with her for his stubborn, justice-hungry personality. Therefore, she constantly demanded child support money and kept increasing the amount, supposedly for Sakura's future. However, it turns out she used the child support funds to spend on frivolities while she worked 4 hours a day and 3 days a week. To make matters worse, she had Sakura work part-time jobs to bring extra money.
  • "My ex-girlfriend tried to get back together after I became rich": Ayahi broke up with her ex-boyfriend Kenta for quitting his job, but after he started his entertainment company alongside a YouTuber named Yousuke, she called to get back with him after she saw him on TV. Even the mention of a girlfriend didn't deter her from trying to get back with him.
  • "After I caught my husband cheating on me, they made my life a living hell...": Riona's husband reveals to his lover Aika that he married her for the money. It turns out he didn't like her habit of dressing like a teenager in her thirties and her "nagging" behavior towards their son Satoshi.
  • "My wife comes back to me after three years, but she is acting weirdly...": Nashiyo messaged her husband Atsumu to announce she will divorce him, as she found a man richer than him. Three years later, she romantically messaged him as if nothing had happened until he notified her of the divorce, over which she got angry and threatened to sue him for "false accusation". When he contacted her parents, they also said she threatened to sue them for "defamation of character". After investigation, it turns out to be a scheme between Nashiyo and her now-bankrupt lover to squeeze money out of them by having the man pose as a lawyer.
  • "My wife cheated on my with my boss but they didn't know about the big twist…": Takaya's wife Maki not only married for his money but let her mother and sister move in with them to mooch off of him as well. When Takaya hired a PI to investigate why Maki often left home, he found out about her affair with his abusive, America-obsessed boss Mr. Kizaki. Enraged, he invited the lover to discuss the alimony and invited Kizaki's father, who Dope Slaps the bastard for his affair and apologized to Takaya, as the latter turned out to be rich from hitting it at the stock market.
  • "My wife told me I didn't have the guts to divorce her... So I told them....": Hajime quarreled with his wife Kanami due to her reckless overspending, often on parties and a maid to avoid doing the house chores herself. This got to the point where he considered himself lucky if he was able to earn 400 thousand yen. Moreover, she even dried up the savings for their daughter Rion and even sic her mom on him whenever he took her to task for her overspending.
  • "My coworker stole my girlfriend and got me fired so I got him back": Emi cheated on her boyfriend Satoshi with his manager Makoto since he was the CEO's son. Moreover, both of them framed him for harassing Emi at work to get him fired so they could be together. Enraged about his girlfriend's betrayal, he seeks to expose them.
  • "My ex wife who disappeared was the bride at my best friend's wedding" [sic]: Days before their wedding, Yuko dumped her fiancé, Shuichi, for earning $1400 a month which she deemed too poor for her. Later on, Shuichi's best friend, Takafumi, invites him to his wedding, where the former finds out the bride is Yuko. Moreover, Takafumi knew this yet invited him anyway, but his father, Mr. Hirokazu, slapped and chewed him out for his irreverence as he acquired Shuichi's successful company. Furthermore, while Takafumi sincerely apologizes for the incident, Yuko tries to get back with him only to be rejected and outright called the trope name. Later on, Yuko attended bars to meet rich-looking men, which led her husband Takafumi to sue her for damages. Eventually, she is forced into grueling physical work by Mr. Hirokazu to pay her loans.
  • "My girlfriend left me for a guy who was smarter so I got revenge!": Hiroshi's girlfriend, Kaho, started to cheat on him with his rich rival, Kazuyoshi, since the latter studied at Tokyo University. When Kaho introduced him to her parents, they chewed him out for being a temp and decided to marry Kazuyoshi as soon as he appeared. However, their married life is far from idyllic as he spent months without getting a promotion. However, things seemed to fare better as his boss offered him a deal to get $40,000 so that the man can have extra money to spend on himself, for which Kazuyoshi rose to the top until Hiroshi comes back and exposes the company's fraud.
  • "My wife cheated on me with her doctor…": After Mana collapsed and got hospitalized for surgery, she cheated on her husband, Kengo, with her bedside doctor, Seiji Nakajima while at the hospital. Kengo suspected Mana's dismissive treatment of their three daughters, Rena, Nami, and Misaki, and Dr. Nakajima's friendly attitude towards her and decided to enter the hospital without warning. After catching her in the middle of an affair with the doctor, he chews both lovebirds out.
  • "I got in a terrible car accident on my way home from work and…": Hiroki's wife, Ayumi, is revealed to have not only married him for his money, but when she finally went to the hospital after a long time of absence, she was chatting with her lover Seiya about how she wanted Hiroki dead and thus remarry him after collecting his insurance money and the inheritance. He let out heartbroken cries after hearing the whole thing before plotting revenge. When the episode switches to Ayumi's POV, she not only admits to her affair but regards marrying Hiroki as a mistake since she only married him for having a stable job only to get bored of him.
  • "My wife turned up when I was on holiday with my lover…": Kyouko Itou was accused of being a gold digger when she married her husband Takeshi since he was a wealthy CEO's son. However, she didn't know about it until after their marriage, and while she enjoyed a fairly decent life, it doesn't last as she finds out Takeshi cheated on her with a woman named Miki.
  • "My family treated me like dirt for ten whole years…": Yuri Saitou is a particularly nasty example; she is revealed to not have divorced her ex-husband, Tomoya Sasaki, for losing his job and racking up a lot of debt. Furthermore, she and her daughter Marina put on a fake beggar act by wearing tattered clothes, targeting office workers into marrying her, which is how she married the protagonist, Satoru Meguro. Moreover, Tomoya and Marina's fiancé, Yuuhei, both turn out to be this when Satoru plays a recording of their conversation revealing they tricked both women and plotting plotting to force Marina into sex work to earn them money while deriding Yuri as too old for that.
  • "My girlfriend cheated on me so I took the best revenge possible at our wedding…": Kakeru's girlfriend, Aika, only wanted to marry him for the wedding gift money, and planned to have him break up with her afterward. However, Kakeru exposes her affair with a guy named Hiroshi and passed him off as Kakeru while dating him while spending the poor guy's money.
  • My husband cheated on me right after we got married…: Kazuyuki is another male example, as he decided to divorce his pregnant wife, Nina, upon learning his latest mistress, Chinatsu, was the daughter of a wealthy CEO. He planned to live off her father's money and his status as the next CEO. But ten years later, when Nina has married the CEO of MoniRobo Phone five years earlier, Kazuyuki was thrust into the position of CEO after Chinatsu's father died and she verbally abused him for not making profits. When they meet again, Kazuyuki tries to get back with her only to be rejected.
