White Collar Crime / MoniRobo

Go To

In stories where an office is a setting or a plot point, the antagonist and/or someone close to him will almost always be found out to have used their position to commit fraud, scam their clients, steal office supplies, or simply embezzle company money for personal use. Therefore, this warrants MoniRobo a White-Collar Crime subpage.

  • "The one piece of information that changed all the wrong doings in my workplace…": Executive Yakamashi was fired by the reorganization board after suspicions of account diversion as he was blackmailed by Ms. Yabami into letting her boss male employees around. Furthermore, Yabami herself also embezzled money from the company to buy luxuries until she is found out and fired for her trouble.
  • "My sister's fiancé doesn't want me at their wedding because I'm disabled": On his wedding day, Daisuke Nishio was chewed out by his father after the bride Tomomi gave him incriminating evidence of having taken part in an embezzlement scheme along with the head manager to sleep with multiple women. Moreover, Daisuke was disowned by his father after the cops arrive to arrest both him and the Head Manager; it's revealed the embezzled money amounted to 10 million.
  • "My mother left us for this rich CEO": The CEO Ren's mother married was involved in embezzlement and even overworking employees under the false pretense of higher wages. When Ren sued the couple for it after graduating from MoniRobo University, the company went bankrupt.
  • "Best friend steals my girlfriend": Ryuta Tekito was pocketing profits from the new product he forced Atsumu to sell by making them fail to work as designed. This causes Atsumu to report him to the higher-ups, who fired him on the spot along with Rinko.
  • "Serving justice to a selfish and entitled neighbor!": Shu Kinouchi embezzled money from the company he worked at and gave some of it to his favorite subordinates. On top of that, he spent a lot of money on strip clubs despite being married. Because these kinds of payments didn't count as expenses for obvious reasons, he filed them under respectable businesses that didn't even exist.
  • "Found out I wasn't related to my mom… Then…": Sumie and Ikumi's father Ryota lost his fortune at the stock market and tried to embezzle money only to get caught, sued, and eventually fired by his employer. As a result, his wife Kayoko divorced him.
  • "My little sister ruined the contracts I had with a client...": After being fired from Robo Robo Tradings for Miyuki's attempted rape of the CEO's son Riku, her father was not only found to have abused his power to force the CEO of MoniRobo Trading Company to give Miyuki a job, but also embezzled company money and forged receipts to spend on his wife's reckless shopping sprees. As a result, he had to pay all the money he stole and serve time in prison.
  • "The new CEO was embezzling money…": Masayoshi exposed Mr. Darashina's embezzlement, power-tripping, and harassment by warning the board members they would go to prison too if they covered up for him any longer, which drove them to fire the bastard, and did the same to his equally-sleazy son Ioh for good measure.
  • "I got blackmailed by my lousy boss, but someone finally comes to my rescue…": Rena's father was found out to have embezzled money from the company after Masayoshi exposed her and the other employees' bullying of Ms. Shimizu.
  • "My wife was cheating on me while she was on business trips…": Masami, who cheated on her husband Ataru with his younger brother Yuusuke, is revealed to have fabricated business trips to get funds for her affairs. After Ataru contacts both his parents and in-laws about her affair, he also contacts her boss for good measure. He shows up to reveal that she even brought Yuusuke into the company's premises to have affairs behind Ataru's back. Eventually, Masami gets fired and sued for embezzlement of funds and gross misconduct at work.
  • "My girlfriend left me for a guy who was smarter so I got revenge!": While Kaho dumped her boyfriend, Hiroshi, for the richer Kazuyoshi, their married life was far from idyllic until Kazuyoshi's boss offered him a deal to earn $40,000 in products worth $30,000 and pay the extra $10,000 back to the boss (in other words, a kickback scheme). The boss also proclaimed he'd pocket company money should Kazuyoshi fail. However, Kazuyoshi repeated the scheme with so many clients that his sales went up, but Hiroshi, now an accomplished lawyer, showed up at Kaho's family home to expose his fraud and notified that Kazuyoshi was going to be arrested for his crimes. Moreover, Kaho's father was also investigated by Hiroshi's law firm for illegal practices, but he and his wife passed away due to the stress of being investigated.
