Prologue
- As Cherry is leaving for the event, Daddy Dearest mentions that there will be a "special guest" at the show. Cherry, not knowing that Keith is the "guest" in question, forces a smile at his enthusiasm, obviously not looking forward to it:Cherry couldn't ask her dad, so all she could do was silently pray (though being literal demon spawn makes that kinda unethical) that this guy wouldn't take his sweet time.
- When Keith arrives at the complex, he's greeted by an imp who asks him if he's a demon. Keith, obviously confused, asks him if he's talking about a band. The imp then proceeds to sniff him, confirming his status as a human.
- Later on, Daddy Dearest does the exact same thing while talking to Keith!
- Keith being unable to look Daddy Dearest in the eyes, thanks to his glowing red pupils.
- After Cherry asks how her dad found out about Keith:Daddy Dearest: (grins) One of your mom's guys was driving by to get his guitar fixed when he saw you and the little man over there hangin' out at Rpagio's like a couple of lovebirds.Cherry: It's not- we didn't- WE'RE NOT LOVEBIRDS! We're just friends! We met at Rpagio's and we liked each other's music, so we started hanging out together! (turns to Keith) Right?Keith: (nods weakly)
- Backstage, Keith and Cherry have this conversation.Keith: Cherry, could you slap me?Cherry: What?Keith: I just want to make sure I'm not dreaming this up. Maybe I got concussed and I'm dreaming this all out.Cherry: (hesitates slightly, before smacking Keith across his face)Keith: Ow!Cherry: Ohmigosh, I'm so sorry! (puts her hand on his cheek) I didn't mean to slap you that hard-Keith: Hey, don't worry about it! It's fine! It's... actually kind of a relief, really.Cherry: A relief?Keith: Yeah, because I'm not stuck in a dream world or anything-Cherry: How is everything that just happened to you a relief?!Keith: (blinking) Well-Cherry: You got carted off into a realm of demons because you happened to barely associate with me, and now you're being challenged by my dad to a rap battle over your life!Keith: Well, it's not over my life-Cherry: You do realize it's a packed theater out there, right?Keith: ...Okay, it might be over my life.
- The crowd explodes (quite literally) at Daddy Dearest challenging Keith to the sing-off.(It took a while to clean up the scorch marks afterwards...)
- The title of the epilogue:"Proepilogue! (Epiprologue? Uh...)"
The Spook Before Christmas
- After Cherry agrees to hang out and do "normal teen stuff" with Keith, he receives a text message from her that says "What's 'normal teen stuff'?"
- A while later, Keith arrives at Cherry's house:"Woah! Is this your guys' house?" a voice called out.Daddy Dearest looked away from his daughter to see none other than the Boyfriend himself making his way towards the home."Dude, this house is so big! And there's so many cool hedges and stuff outside-" Keith stopped, finally noticing the purple demon standing at the front door."Oh. Uh-" Keith shot an angry, almost betrayed look at Cherry. She shrugged her shoulders slightly.
- Cherry showing Keith her vacation souvenirs, including a photo of the Neverending Chasm of Nothing, a column from the Tower of Babel, and a picture from her visit to Niagra Falls.
