When the premise of an Edutainment series is "Jeff Goldblum learns about the Serious Business of [fill-in-the-blank]", laughs are virtually guaranteed.

  • In "Sneakers", during his discussion with high-end sneaker designer Dominic Ciambrone, Ciambrone asks him "Were dinosaurs real?" Goldblum is taken aback, but Ciambrone points out that "There's a thing where the world is flat still and people think there were never dinosaurs." Goldblum replies "Um...those people are...Let me put this nicely. Uh, incorrect." On top of the question itself, of course, is that Goldblum is clearly being asked this because his most famous role happens to involve dinosaurs so he has to at least know the basics about the topic.
  • In "Ice Cream", the entire visit to the "Flavor Graveyard" at Ben & Jerry's headquarters, as Goldblum can't help but find the Grave Humor ridiculous but still takes the time to "mourn" the discontinued flavors.
  • In "Gaming", learning that his virtual reality experience involves experiencing life as a tree causes him to quip that for the first time in his entire career, he's Playing a Tree.
  • In "Pools", as he enters the float tank and learns that his brainwaves are going to be monitored during his session, he wonders in voiceover "What if they find out that I'm Abby Normal?" and then worries that he'll end up becoming "William Hurt in Altered States. (Hi, Bill.)"
  • The closing shot of the first Season Finale "Jewelry" is Goldblum showing off his new golden grill (which brings to mind an upgraded version of Jaws's teeth from The Spy Who Loved Me) complete with Twinkle Smile. Of all the notes it could have ended on...
