• When Choon-he presents the Ambassador program, she asks for the name of a British children's literary character who fetishized obesity. It turns out that she is talking about Willy Wonka. When comparing herself to him (except she will hand out superpowers to those she deems worthy instead of candy), she refers to him as "William Wonka".
• In issue #2, Binnu suggests that the team uses its members' countries' animals for their costume designs instead of the flag motifs. Choon-he says this was considered, but since a lot of countries use felines for symbols, they would end up looking like the cast of Cats.
