The Rook Explanation Video is a Brawl of the Objects video that... explains Rook.It is meant to serve as the explanation of the finale for the original version of the show, which happened in the medieval times, and how that inspired Controlly to create and host a similar show (thus creating the modern version).
The following story contains
- A Crack in the Ice: Rook deliberately makes one in the frozen lake so he can dive under the thick ice layer.
- Cruel and Unusual Death: Rook drowns in a frozen lake and his lifeless body is frozen at the bottom of the lake.
- Curb-Stomp Battle: Rook's opponent manages to get an unfair advantage.
- Exactly What It Says on the Tin: Rook is explained in this video. Just what you schmucks would expect.
- Hollywood Drowning: Subverted. Though Rook drowned, he couldn't really yell at all due to being underwater. The lake is also covered in a thick layer of ice, so while he was able to break into the lake, he couldn't get out after swimming a distance.
- Too Dumb to Live: Rook does not simply run during the race, he breaks the thick ice layer, swims underwater and ends up drowning and freezing.
- Your Head A-Splode: Rook's opponent suffers from a brain implosion before crossing the finish line.
