  • Steve Martin/Jackson Browne: The Festrunk Brothers (Steve Martin and Dan Aykroyd), two Czechoslovakian brothers who arrived in the US in hopes of hooking up with American women. They're catchphrase is, "We're two wild and crazy guys!" This would become a recurring sketch.
  • Charles Grodin/Paul Simon: Roseanne Roseannadanna (played by Gilda Radner) made her first appearance.
  • Buck Henry/Leon Redbone: Three words: Little Chocolate Donuts.
  • Robert Klein/Bonnie Raitt:
    • Nick the Lounge Singer (Bill Murray) fashions himself as Nick Winters for a ski lodge performance that includes his now famous Star Wars song.
"Star Wars! Nothin' but Star Wars…"
    • The Olympia Café sketch, which had the word "cheeseburger" uttered 80 times.
      "Cheeseburger, cheeseburger, cheeseburger!"
      "No Coke, only Pepsi."
    • The Running Gag of giant mutant lobsters from Canada invading New York City soon. This tied in with references to the crash of a radioactive Soviet spy satellite in Northern Canada earlier in the week.
  • OJ Simpson/Ashford and Simpson: "Samurai Night Fever," a spoof of Saturday Night Fever, with John Belushi's Samurai Futaba dancing to "Stayin' Alive" by the Bee Gees.
  • Christopher Lee/Meat Loaf:
    • Mr. Bill goes to the circus.
    • Lee plays Henry Higgins, looking for a new challenge after Eliza. Someone arrives at the door...
    "Hi, I'm Babwa Wawa!"
    • Lee's spin on introducing the musical guest: "I'd like you to meet...Loaf!"
  • Michael Palin/Eugene Record: Palin plays his manager in the opening monologue, and puts live cats down his trousers. One relieved itself on Palin's arm, wich resulted in him doing sketches with the cat's excrement still on his arm.
  • Steve Martin/The Blues Brothers: Both a Crowning Moment of Funny and Crowning Music of Awesome, Steve Martin's "King Tut" song.
  • Chevy Chase/Billy Joel:
    • Chevy delivers a sermonette for the Church of Confusion.
"And finally, the traveler came across a giant footprint in the vaaan... and he spaketh truly that this MUST BE the hand of God."
