• Mei Changsu isn't enthusiastic about the house Meng Zhi chose for him.
  Mei Changsu: ...I must make a few changes here. Otherwise everyone will keep wondering why I chose this place among the fine selections I had.
  Meng Zhi: [nods before he realises what Mei Changsu said] Hey!
  • In the same scene, Meng Zhi says no one will know Mei Changsu and Jingyan are neighbours unless they climb on the roof. Mei Changsu asks how he found out.
  Meng Zhi: I went up on the roof, how else?
• Mei Changsu realises there's another plot he didn't know about, and says he has to leave at once. Cut to Dr. Yan glaring at him and refusing to let him out the door. Mei Changsu tries to convince the doctor he'll be all right. Dr. Yan still won't let him leave. So he has Fei Liu pick up Dr. Yan and leaves while the doctor is yelling at him.
• Lin Chen is not impressed with the plan Meng Zhi and Xia Dong come up with.
  Lin Chen: Now I finally understand why Changsu is always so tired. You guys are really helping.
• Lin Chen and Mei Changsu are having a serious discussion when Fei Liu sneaks up behind Lin Chen with a bucket of water. He throws it over Lin Chen, to Mei Changsu's amusement.
  Fei Liu: You lose!
  Mei Changsu: *narrows eyes in bemusement*
  Lin Chen: *through clenched teeth* Fei Liu, I know we were playing this game last night, but an entire night has passed and a new day has started, meaning the game was long over. Moreover, I was discussing unrelated matters with your Su gege when you sneak attacked me. Your behavior was not just wrong but invalid. Do you understand?
  Mei Changsu: *snickering*
  Fei Liu: *thinks for a second, then dumps what was left in the basin on Lin Chen* I don't care. You still lose! *stomps off*
