  • Toshinori's reply when Aizawa asks him why he is at UA and if a press conference is about to break out.
Toshinori: Oh no, young Aizawa. I am undercover today, looking to stop a dangerous ring of international sleeping bag thieves. You’ll tell me if you see anything, of course. I suspect their ultimate target may be found on this very campus.
  • Aizawa, when discussing Tenya with All Might, mentions an incident where the younger Iida found an older student harassing a younger student and dragged the harasser to the principal. When told to write an apology, he instead defends his actions, and states in no uncertain terms, that he will do it again without regret.
  • During the Heroes vs Villains training, Izuku (who is the villain with Ochako) hacks into Tenya and Bakugo's comms, allowing Izuku and Ochako to make a running commentary on the fight, hamming it up while driving Bakugo crazy.
  • The Running Gag of All For One making a chess analogy to Shigaraki and Kurogiri having to translate it into videogame terms.
  • Ochako picks Gran Torino as her internship mentor. When Torino tries to pull his Faking the Dead prank, Ochako easily sees through it and makes to call the coroner while jokingly stating that she hopes Torino has cable in his TV.
  • There's some delicious irony when, during the internship arc, Tenya comments on going after the Hero Killer.
Tenya: The Hero Killer has proven himself a dangerous threat. It would be the height of foolishness to attempt to apprehend such a lunatic alone. I can understand the allure of stopping his reign of terror, but one must go about these things the right way.
  • Mei comes up with a way to use solid lithium crystals as a battery. When she calls it Dilithium, Melissa yells that she's going to get them sued, so Mei suggests crystal meth. Melissa tells her to leave the naming until later.
  • Before becoming famous, All Might signed over the right for a movie about himself to a debuting director. The resulting movie, Brawl Knight: I Have Arrived!, was so cheesy that All Might became extremely wary at signing over anything... And did everything in his power to not only get back the rights to both his movie image and the film, he also rounded up any copy he could find and destroyed it.
    • The owners of two of the copies: Gran Torino and Izuku, who inherited it from his father. And decided to play it at the dorms. With almost the entire Hero Course first years, most of the staff, and All Might himself watching.
      • Recovery Girl is one of the staff members who don't go watching it... because she can just ask Gran Torino whenever she wants.
    • The one thing everyone agrees with: the best actor was the dog.
  • This bit from an English lesson:
Present Mic: Okay, little listeners, who can give me a synonym for the English word ‘endeavor?’
    Shoto: Dumpster fire.
(every student in class laughs or fails not to)
Present Mic: Technically correct, Akatani, but only when it is used as a proper noun.
  • When celebrating Izuku's birthday, Mina gets him two tickets to a local amusement park - causing everyone to groan, because several of them also bought him and Ochako tickets for the same park.
  • The summer camp trek has quite a few pearls of hilarity:
    • As Kirishima leads the class to cover themselves in mud to make it easier to get through the forest, Hound Dog shows up, only to get quickly overwhelmed and pulled into the water by Tsuyu. Hitoshi has a lot of fun making fun of the teacher, since the latter knows that responding will cause him to fall for Brainwashing.
      • Koda attempts to use his Quirk on Hound Dog to make him sit, and when it doesn't work he just states he was kidding. Hound Dog almost laughs.
    • During the summer camp trek, Aizawa asks Mandalay to tell the heroes about the path the students are using, since he can watch them through a network of cameras. Mandalay (who has taken a liking to 1-A) takes advantage of Exact Words (since Aizawa had previously stated that all the teachers were the villains in the scenario) and tells the students about Aizawa watching them with cameras.
      • And then Kaminari jams the cameras' signal by overpowering them with his amateur music videos.
    • When Snipe has the students cornered, Dark Shadow manages to reach to the teacher and forces him to drop his weapons, sit with his eyes closed and count to one-hundred. And eight. Snipe cries a tear as he drops his rifle.
    • Aizawa asks Ragdoll where the students are. She "innocently" replies that they are west of their position and heading towards it.
    • In order to remake their mud camouflage, Shoto uses his ice to make a mud pit. As Yaoyorozu helps Jiro out of the pit, Kaminari puts the idea of "wrestling" in Hitoshi's mind.
Mineta: I hope you’re aware of the irony of me saying this, but you guys are acting like pigs.
    • Kaminari describes Jiro as a tsundere. Jiro pokes him with her jacks and hisses that she's not a tsundere.
    • Midnight states she has shipping fanfics of the students. When Shoto asks what that means, Ashido says she'll tell him when he's older.
      • Hitoshi convinces Midnight to change sides with a payment: seeing him ask Yaoyorozu out on a date. Aizawa fakes outrage at the fact that his friend and his protegé are conspiring behind his back.
