Go To

  • When Mr. Johnson brings up how Oscar Wilde was guilty of "laying hands on a nobleman," Hanako assumes that Wilde was a violent man.
  • When Alice wants to get the key to Hanako's room from Miss Smith, she has Mary grab onto Miss Smith's waist and refuse to let go until the latter gives up the key. Mary's eyes sparkle as she hears the request, implying she's enjoying this greatly.
  • Just before Alice's wedding, she hugs her two youngest sisters, Margaret and Mary, and tells them she will always love them. She then turns to Jane, her closest sister, who asks if Alice wants to hug her as well.
  • At the very end, Alice lists all the things she loves about Hanako, concluding with, "And that you cry as much as I do." Hanako then protests, "I...I'm not that bad!" with tears in her eyes.
